Look, if you want a quick hair cut from kids or young adults who just graduated from a local barber school I suggest you steer from this place and find one of those new barber shops. If you’re looking to hear stories of the past while Vincente Fernandez plays in the background, this is the place.This is a classic Mexican American barber shop with only a few of these still remaining. 12 Dollars for a regular haircut, 15 for a flat top with only one man, who goes by the name of Jose, who is cutting everyone’s hair. Like going here. I usually cut my hair since I just use my hair clipper and a simple #1 on the sides & #2 on the top. But when I don't get to cut it that I'm in a hurry or just lazy to cut it myself, I go here. Have gone to a saloon only once & never again. There's no one like a barber to cut a man's hair the way a barber can do it. But here at Bertos he's won my trust. Very profesional & also very knowledgeable & very experienced Barber for so many decades & I believe I heard (don't quote me on this) but he used to be one of the barbers that would cut the hair for the "lucha libre" wrestlers back then when they were popular in the 80s & 90s. This is an old school barbershop experience. Reminds me a bit of a Juarez shop. Jose Cuevas is the sole proprietor and will make you feel comfortable with your cut. He's got 25 years of experience! He only takes walk ins and cash only. No cards or checks.
