I had not cut and dyed my hair in months. I was initially apprehensive about attending a new salon, in which the stylist did not know me. However, I was very happy with my hair! I am exceedingly appreciative that Maggie had the decades of experience, patience, and focus to give a great cut, dye, and style. My husband agreed with me that it was the best haircut I have had in a long time. Thank you again, Maggie!
So glad to have found Maggie and Sanctuary Salon. I'm wearing my hair short now and have experienced great difficulty finding anyone who can do that well, until now. Maggie is an experienced professional and accurately listened and intuited what I wanted. She gave me an easy to care for yet styling cut that addressed my concerns over too much scalp showing because of how my super fine hair grows. I feel heard, welcomed, and comfortable at her salon.
This was my first time to use Maggie at Sanctuary City. I had moved to our home here in Santa Fe and had not been able to get my hair trimmed by my stylist at home, who has trimmed my hair for the last 20+ years. So I was very skeptically about having someone else trim my hair after 20 years. I explained to Maggie how I liked to wear my hair and where I had "cowlicks". She asked me if I was comfortable in her using a razor on my thick but fine hair. I said sure but had not had a razor this used on my hair for over 20 years. So off we go....... i got a fantastic haircut!!! I waited for two weeks to post this because I wanted to live with their styling for awhile and see how it worked for the way I style my hair at home. I am VERY picky about my hair and a good haircut is the trick to how it works for me when I have to style it at home. Maggie did a great job. My hair is easy to style at home and the "cowlicks" have been tamed to cooperate with the way I want to style my hair. I rebooked another trim with Maggie at the end of 5 weeks (my usual schedule). I would highly recommend Maggie. She has a clean, beautiful and peaceful salon. 5 stars to Maggie!!!!
