Defined Fitness Capital Club in Santa Fe offers a year-round pool, friendly staff, and a variety of classes. However, members have reported issues with the gym's music volume being too loud and consistently playing unpleasant choices. The men's room and shower, as well as the sauna, require maintenance. The gym can feel crowded and understaffed, with some employees appearing unengaged. Despite these challenges, members appreciate the availability of equipment and the overall workout experience. The gym is always clean, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. It's a solid place to get a workout in without worrying about equipment being dirty or out of place. However, the sauna seems to be perpetually broken, which is frustrating if that's part of the routine. Also, the membership fees have a way of sneaking up on members, especially if they're not actively keeping track. Overall, it's a good gym, but a few recurring issues keep it from being great.
I want to start by recognizing the staff here, because they genuinely deserve it. The employees consistently put in the effort to keep the gym clean, bring in new equipment, and organize the space in a way that prioritizes safety—all while working within the limitations of an existing building and a fixed parking area. That’s not something they can just magically expand, and it’s clear they’re doing the best with what they have.

I’ve been a member of Defined Fitness since they first opened, and it’s been a great experience. I mostly use the pool and weights, and I really love the pool area—it’s always clean and well-maintained. Crisanto does an excellent job keeping everything spotless with regular weekly cleanings. The staff overall is friendly and the facility feels welcoming every time I visit. Highly recommend!
Had a great workout yesterday, gotta say all the equipment is so nice and top of the line. I forget the managers name, i believe is it was Joshua but it was awesome that even tho im not a resident he offered for me to come back the next day with the 7 day trial offer. Really appreciate that even though i wasn’t able to take advantage of it because my plans changed, But because of that everytime I come back to town i will definitely get a workout in at this gym. Hopefully they expand to Denver soon so i can become a full time member!
