Sunset Memorial Park is a beautiful and well-kept cemetery in Albuquerque. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the chapel, which has been recently remodeled, is a peaceful place to remember loved ones.
While customers appreciate the cemetery's appearance and staff, some have experienced delays in receiving headstones. One customer reported a seven-month wait for a gray granite headstone, despite paying upfront, and felt no discount or alternative options were offered.
Despite this, the customer was satisfied with the final product. Overall, Sunset Memorial Park is considered a respectful and well-maintained place for honoring the memory of loved ones.
Very poor grounds conditions recently. I took flowers to my some for his birthday last month. The dead flowers were still there today, weeds everywhere and loose gravel on the bench! This previously was a very peaceful beautiful atmosphere. So sad to see the neglected grounds.
Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery did an outstanding job handling all arrangements for a private graveside memorial service and internment of my father's remains on November 15, 2025. Family Service Consultant Mr. Joe Atencio handled all of the arrangements with compassion and attention to the smallest details. Mr. Atencio was always available to answer questions and to help with requirements for the memorial service, reflecting the professionalism of Sunset Memorial Park. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sunset Memorial Park to anyone needing a final resting place for a loved one in Albuquerque.
We recently laid my father-in-law to rest, and Deanna was incredibly helpful throughout the process. The park is beautiful, and Deanna’s knowledge and compassion made a difficult time much easier. I have many family members buried here and will continue to use this cemetery, especially with Deanna there.
