(Feb 13, 2026) We had to come in to address some popped sutures and bleeding on my older male dog who had to have a tail amputation 2 days previously. Those people are angels. Yes we waited but my dog was NOT in significant distress. There were several heartbreaking cases that came in and were treated (understandably) but, we still got to be seen within 4 hours.
The vet came in the room and immediately stapled up his wound, got us some additional much-needed meds and even figured out how to surgically dress it in such a way that is currently keeping it free from debris. Even my original vet didn't do that. Thank you so very much. Your kindness and swiftness helped our dog to a speedier recovery.
Although you never want to find yourself at an emergency vet, aim for this one, if you do.

Thank you staff of Rt66. You made an incredibly hard decision so much more manageable. Everyone was so kind, patient, and caring. Today I checked my mail and recieved a card with condolences. 💛 such a great group of people. The comfort room was next best to home euthanasia and the urn they chose was absolutely beautiful. Thank you 🥺

The front desk staff is rude, incompetent or possibly thieves. The tech who took care of us we fine as was the vet but here's the thing. You have to pay half the total cost as a deposit before they begin a procedure. The lady at the front desk told me that it would a refund would be no problem should one of the procedures be unnecessary. It took me 45 minutes of standing my ground to get a refund because she claimed she did not know how to do a refund. And she didn't even offer an apology! She wanted me to leave the building without my refund and I said no. The Tech who took care of said it was because she was a tech who normally worked with the vets. THAT'S EVEN WORSE! One star. Wow.

Disappointing in their ability to stitch up and check on my dog after he cut himself on a fence. The young lady that took him back was very compassionate and concerned about him. The Dr that did the surgery has not even called or checked on him. She seemed bugged and in a rush when I was asking questions. I paid over 1200 and they have yet to check in on him or even call. When I asked how many stitches she had no clue. I am regretting taking him here, but that was the closest place to Los lunas.

I came here because I believed that my 5 year old dog was having a stroke. I called ahead to let them know I was coming. They addressed him immediately when I got there. The Dr. was very thorough. She checked every possible avenue even willing to research other possiblities Abe treated my boy accordingly . There was very clear and constant communication with me while we were There. They were all so kind and gentle with my nervous boy. I cannot praise Dr. Breck Peterson and her team enough. They truly care about our pets and their customers!

I took my dog in on a Saturday morning after he was attacked by my neighbor's dog. The staff here were so kind and compassionate. Ava at the front desk and Anna who was the tech assigned to my dog were both incredibly helpful at answering questions. I got a clear quote with options on how much care I wanted to pay for. Dr. Woo called me after my dog was stitched up and talked me through what they had to do and what aftercare would look like. Anna then took ample time to show me how to care for my dog at home when I picked him up. I was in tears during the whole first encounter and the staff was calm and gentle with me and my dog.
I cannot being to express my gratitude to this team, who sees owners and pets at their most vulnerable and demonstrates the level of care and understanding I saw. Thank you to everyone who was involved in Sparky's care!

‼️NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE‼️I never leave reviews like this but this veterinary needs better employees and better service. I took my dog here on DECEMBER 31st 2025 at 7pm because she got attacked by another dog on her neck and her wound was super deep, we payed 2,345 dollars and waited a whole night so that they would cure her wound but they just put a bandage and said that for every “bandage change” which was every 24-48 hours we would have to pay 500 dollars. Thanks to the “bandage” my dog got an infection on her neck and died because the wound wasn’t supposed to be covered with anything and they literly wrapped the bandage very tight. My dog died January the 3rd at 2:45 pm. Not only is this place bad service, but it’s also expensive and they are very irresponsible. My poor dog is dead because of these bad employees.
