I never write reviews, but I have to leave one for this fine establishment. Clarence was my barber today and gave me the best experience I’ve ever had in a barber shop. Very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely be coming back and will also be recommending my friends and family to this shop.

***Disclaimer: This is a 5 Star review that I very ambitiously started writing on my computer, rather than my phone, after hitting some Sativa...and then forgot about for a month. You can skip to the end*** Ok.... So, I want to start this review off by saying that anyone who takes their shape-up or general presentation seriously is well familiar with the nerve-racking experience of a "first" appointment, regardless of race or gender, and especially if you've been scarred by the infamously strenuous and unaffordable vanity of South Florida, and specifically Miami, where a 3 day old haircut is basically "wolfin", even for the working class playa, trying to look fresh in the basic "me too" car with the illegal tints cracked just low enough for onlookers to see the "fresh tape" and the shiny forehead poking out over the top. (IYKYK) I mean...anyone who gets their hair cut / done more than twice a year has walked into a barbershop or hair salon for the first time, with some pressing appointment or obligation on the imminent horizon, and possibly their last $40 dollars on their debit card, or even worse, folded tightly in their wallet or purse, the exact same way that their momma or legal guardian handed it to them, after a heavy sigh, a brief hug, and possibly some sarcastic commentary that you really aren't in the position to respond to in any way because, well...nobody else really believes in you enough to lend you $40 for a haircut that only lasts 7 days (If that sounded personal...it's because it is) ANYWAYS....at the time of this experience, I had just moved to a tiny mountain town in New Mexico less than a week before, from my beloved but inhospitable Florida, for a litany of what I think are valid and mature reasons, ranging from the socioeconomic, the spiritual, and of course...matters of the heart, which I'm actually biting my nails about at time of writing (sigh, at least I know where to get a fresh one though, right?) So, after driving the substantial but free flowing 2 hours to ABQ, and immediately heading to the nail salon my gf has been OMG-ing about all week, so she can of course get fierce for her dear friend's big bday bash later that evening...with of course zero outside indication that I've kinda been clenching the whole time, because the Miami boy in me is not only feeling insecure about going over a week without "getting fresh", but is feeling doubly guilty about the pretentious assumptions that have kept me from making the 20 minute drive "into town", where there are three reasonably rated barbershops on both Google and Yelp. ("Why didn't you just put on your big boy pants and...... ********* 6 weeks later ********** This is a dope ass shop with an effiecient linear floorplan and generous seating for waiting clients, well decorated and easy to pass the time with the screens and tunes bumpin. I've been back a couple times to get fresh and always sit down with DeetheBarber, but Steven the DBZ head is a cool kat and laces his clients up too. The owner has is own booth way in the back, and answers the phone like Thanos: "FADE GODS" (thats how you'll be feelin when you walk out too ) I'll be back yall! ‍
