I recently had an urgent skin issue and was so relieved that the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center of New Mexico was able to get me in quickly. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in good hands.

Natalie Mills, PA-C, was absolutely incredible. She was knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and genuinely compassionate. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure all of my concerns were addressed. You could tell she truly cares about her patients — not just as cases, but as people.

I actually left the appointment in tears — the good kind — because I felt so cared for. It's rare to find a provider who combines that level of medical expertise with such heartfelt compassion. I felt completely seen, heard, and confident that I was in the best possible hands.

If you're looking for a dermatology provider who will treat you with both clinical excellence and genuine kindness, I cannot recommend Natalie Mills and this practice highly enough. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful experience feel safe and hopeful.

BE AWARE. I confirmed twice, both before my appointment and on my way out the door, that a basic annual exam was completely covered by my insurance and I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. Exam was 10 minutes long, nothing concerning, then on my way. I've now been hounded for over a year with the clinic claiming I owe $110 for a 10 minute visit which they confirmed twice was completely covered by my insurance. And they wonder why no one goes to the doctor anymore. If you hate surprise billing, avoid at all costs.

I’ve been a patient at this practice for over 10 years. The practice started to go downhill when Dr Walters left in 2021. I was treated like a new patient, however, I was fortunate to get Dr Chang as my new provider. He is an outstanding physician. I had an appointment at the end of this month (made a long time ago) and was notified that Dr Chang was no longer seeing patients and only doing surgery. I again was treated like a new patient and was scheduled to see a PA in 2 1/2 months later. I was told that one of their providers accepts Medicare but does not accept Medigap multi plans as a Medicare supplement. I discovered that this is incorrect as the law specifically states that if the provider accepts Medicare they have to accept all Medicare supplement plans. 5 stars for Dr Chang and 1 star for the practice.

I received excellent care from my doctor. He explained my medical situation in detail and answered all of my questions.

Upon leaving I was given his and his assistant’s phone extension numbers in case I had more questions after my visit.

The new building is great. It would be cool to have a little more time with the provider, but I understand they are all really busy. Love the new location, happy with provider.

The office operates as well oiled machine, which i appreciate. They are punctual and efficient. However, one of a few issues I had was that I went back to have my sutures removed and they neglected to remove 2! I also dont appreciate the poor bedside manner by attempting to give me a lecture on wound care, or how the pain i was going through was my fault for not keeping the site moist with vasoline. It was an involved procedure with a lot of pain in the days and weeks after, yet I kept the site clean and healed. I attempted to use the vasoline as directed but it made the pain worse, particularly around the incision site and I was, and continue to experience pain.

The fact that you have to call the first Monday of the month for new patient appt is ridiculous. If you miss the day you have to wait a whole month to call again. I tried to schedule my son 6 months out to align our appts and I'm told they can schedule my appt but I need to call another day for his appt. Its a complete waist of time. Dermatology is already impossible in this state and policies like this make access to care even that much more frustrating.

Had my first visit this week to remove some basal cell carcinoma on my face. From the smiling caring receptionist who reassured me I was in good hands, that helped relieve some anxiety I was having. Every single person that made contact with me was genuinely caring and concerned about my well being. Anne and Dr Davis were THE BOMB!!! They reassured me, were loving towards me, I really did feel like I was in good hands! They removed the 2 areas on my face, and now I am free and clear of cancer. I can't express my gratitude enough for this wonderful place being there for me! I was refused service due to my insurance in the closer Texas facilities. They refused to take my Affordable Care Act Molina insurance. When I talked to them at DSCCNM They said, NO PROBLEM! All you'll have to cover is any copays you might have. We've got you! And Damn straight they did! Bless these people! Dr David Davis did my procedure, he was so wonderful, kind, caring, held my hand when I cried, with gratitude. You'll be in good hands with these kind loving people. THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME!!!!! ❤
