While my experience with these vets and staff is usually good, the prices are really ridiculous. Someone else called it boutique pricing and it really is. Very over priced! I was willing to pay the extra because they had an aviary vet, but something must have happened because the aviary vet moved to a vet clinic literally down the street! While I was taking all my pets here, I no longer will pay the "boutique" pricing for ordinary care.

Very expensive for the care offered. I am happy to pay a premium if it means my dogs are in the best hands, but I don't believe that is the case here. Medications are absurdly marked up and base pricing is significantly higher than elsewhere. We started bringing out dogs here less than a year ago, but I will be looking for a new vet as this facility isn't worth their boutique pricing.

I could not be more pleased with my visit at Acequia Animal Hospital! Dr. Gray and Ray were outstanding in their knowledge and approach to my dogs needs and listened and acted on my concerns. The front desk staff was professional and engaging. Thank you all for a truly wonderful visit, we'll be back!

We've been taking our 3 furry babies here since moving to Abq. The staff has been great. They caught a raging ear infection on our latest addition. Just a day after we had her at an emergency clinic because she was "crying" any time we got too close to her ears. They recently diagnosed her with heart failure, seen in an X-ray done for an unrelated problem. She was set up for an ultrasound quickly, confirming the diagnosis. Fortunately she doesn't need meds yet. Our other 2 senior pups have also been well taken care of and they like the vets. Surgeries have went well and follow-up was excellent. Appts are filled to fit our schedule and sometimes same or next day if needed. They are also military friendly which is appreciated. So why only 3 stars? My oldest - a 15 year old, Rat Terrier lost footing on an exam table. She fell head first onto a concrete floor. Everyone responded quickly to make sure she was alright. Fortunately there were no complications from a concussion. But it was a preventable occurrence that drained a lot of her spunk. Now the rubber mat comes out when she is being seen to avoid any repeats. Of course this should be done routinely with any small animal. Are we changing vets? No, The vets & techs know our pets which is important for continuity of their care.

After such a horrific experience with our long time vets office in relation to our pet falling Ill unexpectedly, this office of people were a literal God send. I sat crying in my prior vets office calling hysterically trying to find a vet that was able to see an exotic pet, they gladly said yes bring your baby in right away. They literally treated us and him like they knew us, like family. Kind and caring and compassionate to our situation. Even though our sweet boy passed away, they literally did everything possible, displayed concern and care I hadn’t experienced with my prior long time vets office. I have since moved my other pet over to this office due to this experience. I firmly believe our pets are family and to know that this office has such kind and caring people to care for my pet makes my life so much easier. I can’t recommend them enough!

I have 8 dogs all of which go to this clinic. Today Darlene was so awful I decided I am not going to have my animals around someone like this. My dog was set for a dental where they took blood work but never got her scheduled. They blamed an ex employee and told me “I can send your records so you can go elsewhere” WOW for my 8 animals there is no loyalty no offer to fix the situation. Instead I was charged for an exam and bloodwork which another animal clinic cannot take. I’m out 380 and I got treated like scum. Janice used to be the one working the front who was amazing. This new Darlene has me scared for our animals. She was hateful and for her to badmouth an ex employee by name is down right disgusting. Beware!

Extremely poor customer service. My dog was set for a dental appointment but needed previous records from another clinic. The office made no attempts to get those records and bad mouthed my previous vet for not giving the records. I called my previous vet who was extremely nice got the records to me in less then 5 minutes. An extremely RUDE girl Darlene called to bad mouth an ex employee at their place of business stating it was their fault for the confusion. This vet charged me for blood work and exam for my dog to get a dental which is no longer valid so stole my money. I have filed a better business bureau complaint and have disputed the charges. This clinic is scary. The fact that people like this handle animals is not ok. Darlene is a bad person she shouldn't be around animals or people for that matter. I would suggest taking your animals to anywhere else. After several years and 8 dogs seeing this vet because of the hatred from Darlene I will be going elsewhere
