There were a few issues and dead space but that was my fault for not communicating it correctly in my design plan. The quality of the materials is excellent and the finishes are durable. “We have been working with Alicia of AKID on several projects since 2019.The first project Alicia worked on was a challenge because we were right in the middle of a master bedroom suite project. Completing a project that was started by someone else is no easy task. But, Alicia proved that she was a fully capable professional. She smoothly transitioned herself into the project and worked with the existing contractor and took over for a designer who no longer was available. The final results: She transformed a mundane master suite into an exquisitely designed master bedroom suite in spite of being thrown into the midst of the project. Every single detail was addressed which is the reason we continued to work with Alicia on every other room in this home.The results are phenomenal … a combination of our personal style and Alicia’s great interior recommendations…she truly contributed to our achieving a very unique and personal style. We continue to receive complements…it’s amazing how many people make positive comments. Alicia successfully combined our favorite existing pieces with unique distinctive pieces resulting in an Art Deco modern style.In 2020 we purchased a home in Cape Cod. We sent Alicia photos, floor plans and more not thinking that she could in fact continue to work with us on re-decorating this home; we just wanted to share the second home purchase with her. But, Alicia used our photos and real estate information on the house to start making suggestions. We realized that Alicia was fully capable of working on the home even though she never physically visited it. So we continued using Alicia on virtually all aspects of decorating the home. She managed to completely transform a typical beach styled home into a beautifully modern styled home with numerous distinctive pieces of furniture, chandeliers, rugs and accessories. She accomplished this, as stated, without setting foot on the property.We highly recommend hiring Alicia whether it be to work with a contractor or to re-decorate or re-style your home.
