Emily attended the birth of my son - my second baby but my first home birth. From my first conversation with her, she made me feel so calm and grounded. I was nervous for a home birth, and that’s exactly the energy I needed. At my birth, she arrived long before my midwife and helped me manage the pain of the contractions with counter pressure and breathing. She never left my side until the baby was born, making sure I always had someone to lean on and that I had everything I needed. When I was scared and in immense pain, her presence brought me the strength to keep going. I cannot recommend her enough!!
Our baby is now 13 months old, but I think about Emily all the time. She was a fantastic support for us during a three-day induction (that ultimately ended in a C-section). Emily was recommended to us by a close friend. After the initial meeting with her we knew straight away that we wanted her to be a part of our birth experience. Emily is incredibly knowledgeable and reassuring. Her hands-on approach really made us feel like we were in the best of care and, as Emily put it, have stacked the cards in our favor!

She helped me preparing witch hazel pads and demonstrated all labouring positions super patiently! With Emily’s help we reached the hospital fully dilated and it took only 2.5 hours...read full review
