“What can I say? CRS was great to work with from start to finish. Mike Stone was patient through all of our questions and revisions, communicative, and ensured we understood the process. Kelvin was also communicative and great to work with, even walking through the house with me before the project started to answer questions about how installing siding, or replacing the roof could affect paintings on walls, recommending where we should take them off the internal walls just to be sure no damage was done. He was also very easy to work with and ensured I always understood what they already did, as well as next steps. And every crew member that came on our property was respectful and easy to work with as well. We had the roof, siding, gutters and front door replaced, as well as new attic insulation added; and again, every crew leader was also pleasant, even asking me to talk to them directly if I saw anything I wanted changed, or had questions about. There were a couple of minor punch list things to take care of, and Kelvin ensured those things were taken care of promptly, and with excellence.<br><br>I highly recommend CRS. “In 2021, we had a new roof put on our 100+ year-old home in Rutherford and I have been recommending Mayfair ever since. Work was outstanding, done quickly with care and expertise. Communication was great and all was left spotless. Four years later, our beautiful new roof had a soffit torn loose by a raccoon and when I called, Newton sent a crew to repair it that same day. It was fixed before I even got home. I have only wonderful things to say about my experience with Mayfair.”
“Very pleasant group of people with whom to deal. This summer they replaced my 25-year old roof and accomplished it in a single day. The work itself is messy, but they did everything possible to accomplish it in a tidy fashion. The price was very competitive too.<br><br>Additionally, they replaced my exterior wood deck that was also original to the home and 25-years old with a synthetic deck. This work was also accomplished in a single day.<br><br>Both jobs had issues along the way, but this company addressed them all effectively. The synthetic deck has one such issue remaining, as one of the railings was slightly scarred coming right out of the manufacturer's packaging.<br><br>I am waiting for a replacement part to reach this contractor and for them to replace the single railing. This will be happening later this week.<br><br>Normally, I'd have concern about getting this replacement addressed. However, given their conduct through the two jobs, as well as offering that I hold back an adequate sum from the total cost until they make the replacement, I have comfort and confidence they will follow through.”

“We had a leak in our bathroom and it turned out to be a hole in the vent on the roof. Jose was able to do a full roof inspection on our 100 year old slate roof and recommend some repairs. He took pictures beforehand so you can see what was wrong. We had a tanker gutter issue in the front (I had a different contractor fix the rear one a few years prior.) They were able to fix it all in a day. A few weeks later we noticed another leak (when it rains it pours!) in a different spot we had not told them about originally. They were able to come back, remove the tiles, fix the underlying problem and did it at no additional cost. I would definitely recommend them for any minor or major roofing issue.”
“Called these pros for a chimney inspection, and I’m so glad I did. They found a cracked chimney liner, lots of creosote buildup, and a damaged chimney cap. Their chimney sweep was very detailed and explained the whole chimney cleaning and chimney repair process to me. They also cleared the flue, which had some bird nests in it! The fireplace is back in working order and draws perfectly now. Very happy with the level of service and honesty.”

“It’s normal to feel anxious when a company or person new to you starts working to fix something on your property. I did which is why I am writing this review. I called a company called NextGen to fix two leaking skylights on my roof. A previous company has misinstallded them and they were leaking badly with each rainfall. The NextGen service representative , Ken Duci, came and was so open. So helpful, that I immediately trusted him. He and his workers took one day to remove the skylights which I had bought new but which had been damaged. Ken and NextGen did a fine and fastidious job and while I felt completely satisfied, they promised to come back immediately if I should have any problems. I doubt very much that I will have problems , although I regret than I won’t see them again until I need any other work done. “They did a terrific job when 1st Rate installed our new roof back in 2016. The pricing was reasonable, it looked beautiful and the service was outstanding. In addition they really stand behind their work. Twice we had storm damage and when we called we got immediate service. We noticed light coming in our attic crawl space late yesterday so we gave 1st Rate a call expecting to get an answering machine. Tony picked up the phone, listened to our problem and promised to come out this morning. By 1pm he was at the house, inspected the roof and had it repaired, free of charge!
