This organization is wonderful. We signed our 2 six year old granddaughters up for lessons. They never had lessons before. My first impression was great. The pool was very clean, there was enough staff around to ensure the students safety and parents are allowed to sit near the pool to observe and keep a watchful eye on their children. Emilia their coach was so attentive and confident. She had them swimming the full length of the pool in no time. So we signed them up for a second session. Within the first week they were jumping off the swimmers platform and swimming in 12 feet of water with ease. The Rutherford Swim team are a great bunch of kids. They cheered the girls when they made their first jump. Giving them the confidence to keep doing it. The girls had their last lesson last week and left with tearful good byes. We feel confident the girls can hold their own in any body of water. Thank you to Emilia, Mike, Chris, Diane and Matt for making this a wonderful experience for them. I think we’ll be back. Maybe even join the swim team.
My son came from another swim team and I believed he was doing well on the other team. Until we came to the Rebels under the coaching of Mike Lazarra and Chris Dunn. My son was lacking in his technique and form. My son would dive from the edge of the pool for competitions in his previous team. He was never really taken aside and instructed on how to do a dive properly nor encouraged to try another stroke that was more suited for him and his skill level. Coach Mike and Chris alongside their experienced staff took my son to the side and walked him through not once but many times on how to do strokes correctly. They took the time and encouraged him to lose his fear of heights on the diving block. Working with him day in and out with patience my son built up the courage and faced his fears and learned how to dive. I have also had my son do private lessons with the coaches and they have always been attentive not only to my son but all the other swimmers. This facility is too notch. They take all preventive measures of safety and always have lifeguards on staff walking around the perimeter of the pool making sure all the swimmers are safe. I highly recommend Rutherford Swim Association for group or private lessons. My son is proud to say he is a competitive swimmer for the Rebels Aquatic Club.
my daughter just started swimming lessons there a few weeks ago and she has learned Soo much already and looks forward to her lessons. the classes are small and they really focus on the kids.
