I originally joined Toma for my daughter, who desperately needed a confidence booster due to being bullied at school. I was someone hesitant, as I've been dealing with lower back issues since my early 20s. I had surgery in 2013, and was in and out of physical therapy practically every year after. As of today, I can honestly say that my back issues are practically non-existent since becoming part of the Toma family. My son joined TOMA nearly two years ago. It has been a wonderful experience from the start. Grand Master Jo and all of his staff are truly awesome! They know each kid by name, work with them individually and as a group. They set goals for the kids and a framework to achieve it. Students are encouraged to lead by example and be accountable for their actions. There is constant encouragement for all students and leadership skills weaved into each class in addition to learning martial arts. TOMA’s manager Karin is fantastic. Elite Toma has been a wonderful experience. My son loves to come to class and doesn't want to miss any of them. Since he started his Toma experience he seems to be growing in his strength, and mostly importantly his confidence.
