I had some reservations about the process, but she walked me through it & really made sure I was comfortable before beginning. Then melted my roots as desired. Although there are shampoo girls there, she even washed my hair. Followed up with a cut and blow out. “I needed to get my makeup done for headshots. I didn't have any referrals so of course I turned to Yelp, where I found the amazing Nikki Jay. Prior to the appointment, which she was able to schedule for me at the last minute, we discussed makeup looks and I sent her inspirational photos. Nikki is a true professional who cares about her clients. She observed safety protocols and her space is very inviting with positive affirmations, vibrant colors and upbeat music. As Nikki applied my makeup, she explained each step of the process - what product she was using and how it works with the skin. I don't wear makeup every day, so I was a little nervous about getting glammed up, but Nikki did a spectacular job, giving me a look that felt classy and timeless. Feeling good about yourself - with or without makeup - is a form of self-care. It was a treat to get pampered and bring out a playful, fun side of myself that hadn't emerged in a while. I felt like a star when I left and received many compliments on my makeup. I would definitely book another appointment with Nikki.“

“I'm extremely opinionated when it comes to how my hair is cut & colored, and I've learned I really get in my own way by requesting colors that don't actually look good ON ME, even if they look great on some people. In short- I'm a nightmare customer, honestly. Yet- Janyra vastly, and I mean VASTLY exceeded my expectations. The really pivotal skill she has is looking at what you want, with the reality of the head of hair you actually have on your head- then comes to a happy medium. She looked at all my inspirational looks (very blonde, too blonde for my skin tone, my hair color, how often I plan to maintain it....) then she found a picture that was closer to an attainable color for me. One that I like on me waaaay more than the less dimensional blonde I requested. Janyra used that picture as her guide throughout the process. She took her time and did an AMAZING job. I have a huge amount of hair. I was happy when I left the salon, but I often change my mind after a day or two. It's been 2 months. 2 GD months. My husband said yesterday it still looks like it was just done. I still love it. I don't even live in the area but I will definitely come back to have my hair done by Janyra. (I don't even need to mention that she's really nice and she has a great calm energy, she just seems great altogether!). I can't recommend this salon and specifically Janyra enough. Honestly, do yourself a favor and go to her.“

“I love this salon - super professional and always share great advice & guidance but with zero pretension/ judgy-ness. They are very straightforward about pricing, and what treatments do and don’t make sense. Easy to make appointments, occasional promotions, and the owner is just lovely. My cuts have all been absolutely great (I have thick, curly hair that’s easy to turn into a terrible triangle shape) but the color has been positively fantastic. I switched to this salon after an appointment at another salon in the area that took forever, with multiple people squeezed in during my appointment while I waited, and started off with the stylist basically making fun of me for just *considering* a fun ombré color at my age (early 30s).
