Love this practice. So many of the midwives are excellent. Donna, Chrisann & Lisa were so helpful during my pregnancy and birth. Ashley has been incredible during so many visits, that were full of mystery and emotion - she is professional, intelligent, hilarious and incredibly trustworthy.

I moved to NJ at 36 was pregnant and these midwives helped make my care seamless. They all are ver knowledgeable, and I was able to talk through my shifting birth plan as I was induced (my choice). The midwife at the hospital put me at ease. Since then, I have continued to use them as my annual OBGYN care provider. FYI, their office can be very busy, and they field lots of calls with pregnant women (obviously). I was able to get quotes for everything before making decisions about labor/delivery and birth control options.

Wonderful experience so far and SUCH a better option than a doctor. There is no pressure and it feels like they are genuinely happy for you when you come in. The midwives are amazing. Each one takes the time to answer any questions and it never feels like a rush. I always look forward to my appointments! In addition, theres so many classes and resources offered in the same center. They respect your birth goals and talk you through working toward having the pregnancy and birth you want. I recommend Avalon over ANY doctor any day of the week. They make you feel like a normal pregnant woman, not a medical patient with a condition. They also don't mind answering questions or seeing you if you think there might be something wrong, they won't just send you to the hospital its not an emergency, they'll squeeze you in and help you out any way they can.
