I made a commitment to myself to prioritize my yoga practice. As a journalist, creative & business owner, I spend my days in my mind, often disconnected from my body.Having recently moved to Montclair (from Brooklyn & before that, Australia), I was looking for a studio I could find a both routine & a community in. Every class with Becky is an opportunity to address issues surrounding aging. I always feel a decade younger after taking her class. The range of motion and the headset that she imbues is frankly transformative.

Yoga Mechanics is a true lifeline for me.I have had multiple orthopedic injuries - knees, ankle and shoulder - and Yoga Mechanics’ focus on correct form and modified poses has allowed me to practice at a higher level than I ever imagined possible. I’m physically stronger now because of my practice than I have been in many, many years. Moreover, the studio is a community of local folks - which is nice to have. It’s a very safe space both physically and emotionally. For a busy working mom, that type of outlet means a lot.Whether you are an expert Yogi or just beginning, you can find a home at Yoga Mechanics.
