My daughter scored a 5 on her APUSH exam with the help of tutor Dan. After nearly a year and half online of US history,my daughter was concerned she was not prepared. Dan assessed quickly where she needed to focus her efforts. Only a few sessions needed and it totally paid off!
We started out a bit surprised by the gaps in my daughters knowledge uncovered by The Tutor Shack's evaluation tests. Josh created a plan, supported by his high energy and often fun sessions that celebrated every small success along the way. Juliet's scores soared above our expectations! Discipline on the part of the student is important and Josh kept her on track with constant open dialogue. We could not be happier with our results.
I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Tutor Shack. The quality of the tutoring is exceptional, but as anyone with kids or who teaches knows, each kid learns in a different way. Josh and his team (shout-out to Ener) personalized their approach for my daughter. They took the time to figure out what she needed, which made it a pleasant all-around experience and, of course, helped her learn more easily. Josh and team are also good listeners--not only to students--but parents. Throughout the experience, they were supportive emotionally and academically.
