Staff is very helpful while pushing with my recovery from my knee replacement!

Everyone at SportsMed is not only nice but so good at their jobs. I have been working with Justin and Paritta (PT’s) and their knowledge and skill are A+

Beautiful facility — luminous and spotless. The entire team is welcoming, kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. It’s also very convenient to have an acupuncturist and chiropractor on site. Dr. G. is excellent! I am sincerely grateful for everyone’s help over the past months. Highly recommend!

Positives: Staff is friendly and kind, place is clean, scheduling was easy, parking is accessible, massages were intense but helpful for myofascial release.
Grievance #1: They told me I would get 10 appointments covered by my insurance, and after that they would reach out and appeal for more. I was very clear that I did not want any appointments that were not covered, so they assured me that it would be sorted out. After my 11th appointment, they tell me to stop coming because they were still working with my insurance. They never got approval and thus I was saddled with the full price of the 11th appointment - even though I advocated to ensure this wouldn't happen. They didn't forgive the balance after asking multiple times and ultimately threatened to take it to collections, so I paid.
Grievance #2: I did not feel like I was taken seriously nor that treatment was adjusted to my unique situation and training goals. The suggested exercises were static stretches that I was already doing at home (to no avail, which is why I came to PT), followed by massage (the latter of which was helpful). I tried to explain that I wanted more strength focused and dynamic help, but they did not incorporate those until session 8. They also never got more appointments approved after the 10th, so my issue wasn't resolved.
TLDR: Staff was kind and the facilities are nice. Overall felt like they were unnecessarily elongating treatment because they thought they could get additional session approval, and when they couldn't get approval, I had to pay the costs (without resolution of my issue).

They have treated my Rotatory Cuff injury extremely well.Jonathon is a great asset to the company.the improvement in my shoulder is amazing.The staff is very helpfull. I will recomend Sports Med toanyonevwho asks me for a referal.

Therapist didn't address my needs. I went as prescribed for vertigo but the exercises did not focus on that. After 2 sessions I was told there was nothing they could do for the vertigo and they recommended balance exercises. Very inexperienced in my primary need.

I would highly recommend SportMed Physical Therapy in Montclair. From making an appointment for the first time upto my last visit the experience was amazing. I always felt part of the team. It felt like the staff geniunly cared about me and my recovery. Their approach was warm and welcoming. The treatment was excellent and I could see improvement to my injury after every visit. The SportsMed team is professional and will be my first choice if I ever need therapy again. Well done to SportsMed. 👍👍

I have had a great experience at SportsMed in Montclair from the first phone call to my first experience with acupuncture! Everyone is very friendly, informative and knowledgeable.
