The Milton & Betty Katz Jewish Community Center has been a focal point of Atlantic County for over 105 years. Membership to the Katz JCC includes FREE Exercise Classes, 25 Meter Heated Indoor Pool, Full Size Indoor Basketball Court, and access to their Fitness Center. Additional programs offered at the JCC include childcare, pre-school, summer camp, and Jewish learning programs. The mission of the Katz JCC is to foster an appreciation of Jewish identity, values and culture, to promote the health, education and welfare of their members, to strengthen Jewish family life, to build a sense of community and ensure Jewish continuity. The JCC is described as a special place where people connect, share ideas, and make great lasting friendships. From serving children and young adults with educational and sports programs to senior wellness classes, the JCC has a remarkable staff of expert trainers and instructors offering the finest techniques in healthy physical activity. Members praise the JCC's friendly staff, clean facilities, and great group of people. The gym offers a ton of cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights. While there can be some wait times during peak hours, the JCC generally provides an excellent experience for its members. The only criticism is that it can take too long to repair broken equipment. Overall, the Katz JCC is considered a vibrant part of the community, offering a wide range of programs and amenities for members of all ages.
When I joined the Margate Jewish Community Center (JCC), my main focus was on aquatics where I could enjoy an early morning swim. I soon learned that the JCC was so much more than a place to enjoy an array of programs, with state-of-the-art gym equipment, and specialized programs for people of all ages. In addition to these benefits, the JCC also offers a sense of community and belonging that is akin to a supportive vibrant family. I have been a member of the JCC off-and-on for years, and I will continue to be a member for a long time. The staff are all friendly, the facilities are always clean, and there are a great group of people that are members. From the gym to the pool, basketball courts, fitness classes, and social events, the JCC offers a ton of benefit for your membership dollars.My main use of the JCC is the gym, where you will find a ton of cardio equipment, a bunch of weight machines, and a good amount of free weights. The KATZ JCC in Margate is a vibrant part of life in our community. The gym has everything you need for a great workout, from weights and aerobic machines, to classes that include strength training, yoga, zumba and stretching. The programs throughout the year are excellent too. Whether you live in Margate all year or just summers, it's worth belonging.
