“This is really, really difficult to write because I don’t know if I can properly put into words the impact that Clifton Physical Therapy has had on my family.<br><br>Nearly two years ago we brought my wife into their doors after herniating two discs in her back during labor when having our daughter. With care and compassion they got her back on her feet both literally and figuratively.<br><br>Last year my cousin hurt his back and when he needed a referral of a place to go- we without question referred him to CPT. Again, they took the time to get to know him and his needs and got him back to normal.<br><br>Then earlier this year I was in horrible knee pain to the point where I could barely walk our dog or play with our toddler. An orthopedist told me that “a little PT could help” but I’d likely be in some element of chronic pain for the foreseeable future due to arthritis. I was devastated. I went to CPT for help and we got right to work. We knew that we can’t get rid of the arthritis but we can do everything we can to get me moving and mostly out of pain. They adjusted my treatment each week to account for advancements and setbacks, what I could handle, and what I needed to achieve. I’m proud to say after a few months - I’ve been pain free for a month now and had my last session last week. I’ll never take my mobility and strength for granted again and looking forward to this next chapter.<br><br>Tiff, Caitlin, Jordyn, John - I cannot thank you enough. “ABOUT ME:<br>I am an ultra-endurance athlete that runs and cycles a lot. As such, I tend to live with soreness and have a tendency to ignore pain for far too long before addressing issues. I have been trying to get better at distinguishing between normal pain and pain that can lead to chronic long term issues and a decrease in performance. The main problems I went to address were the pain on the right side of my neck, my left knee and hamstring.<br><br>PROBLEMS RESOLVED AND THE BENEFITS AFTER 4 SESSIONS:<br><br>1. 5/21/26 was my first appointment. After the first day, 90% of the issues that I wanted to address were fixed. I'm usually not a believer in overnight solutions, but honestly, my issues were fixed what feels like overnight. It felt like my body was put in a position where it was finally able to heal itself.<br><br>2. I noticed after the second day my sleep improved. I have tracked my sleep for years, I got 94 out of 100 sleep and the most total REM sleep I've gotten in a year.<br><br>3. The day after my second appointment, I went on a 10-mile run that felt like a painless moving meditation.<br><br>4. Tight muscles in my right neck issue fixed. I suspect it was due to straining a muscle in my neck about half a year ago, and it was just a pain that kept coming back never fully healed. These past two weeks are the first time that I don't feel hesitant to turn my head in any direction while I'm working.<br><br>5. Left knee pain and left hamstring tightness. The left side of my body has been a recurring issue for years with a tendency towards pulling this hamstring and a lot of knee pain after running or cycling.<br>1. I learned that the lower back is connected to my knee, groin and hamstring.<br>2. I also learned the reason why I constantly had tight quads. Now that my hamstrings are looser, my quads are less sensitive to the touch. Before this, even the lightest touch to my quads sent a shock through my body, even on days when I wasn't really pushing the miles too hard.<br>3. As for my groin, I tended to have a lack of flexibility and tightness. It was not limiting, but being able to have more range of motion feels so much better.<br>4. My knee pain is basically gone and my hamstring does not feel tight. This is huge.<br><br>TL;DR/ CONCLUSION:<br>Dr. Carrion has really helped me, and I wasn't expecting issues that I've dealt with for so long to simply go away so quickly. I wish I had done this sooner. I highly recommend you book an appointment as soon as possible. Dr. Carrion is experienced and knows what he is doing. Everyone at the office is kind and willing to help.”
