Had my first stretching session at Massage Envy in Jersey City and it was fantastic. If you plan on getting a stretch session, I highly recommend Michael. He’s excellent and very much works with you.

I’ve been a monthly member with massage and for a while now though it is my first time using the Jersey City location and I couldn’t be happier! My massage therapist is Lenetta and She is a true healer. I’ve been played with consistent back pains and trouble areas for years. I thought I just had to live with it. Lenetta truly saved me from that pain with regular sessions .. Also, I want to thank Perkins for reuniting me with Lenetta now that she’s at the Jersey city location!

I made a mistake with the appointment date while booking online. I called to try and reschedule the appointment for the next day. The receptionist called me back and was immediately focused on charging the cancellation fee instead of explaining I wouldn’t be able to reschedule. I understand cancellation fees but it was really disappointing that before I could finish she was already in the process of charging me, I could still come in to my original appointment right? She said I had already confirmed the appointment either through phone call or their text message service. When I explained I didn’t receive either she then changed her story saying it was an email confirmation. Of course, the email confirmation didn’t give an option to say yes or no - so saying I already “confirmed” made the whole thing feel scammy. The interaction with her felt contentious and off putting. A little professionalism and grace would have gone a long way.

Screw this place. I went here for a massage and the masseuse massaged the back of my knee for like 10 minutes. The BACK OF MY KNEE. Literally just the one knee. I asked her how long she had been out of massage school and she said “3 weeks”. Then I said, “yea, this isn’t gonna work for me”. Got dressed and left. Asked for my money back, manager said no. Awful experience and will never go to massage envy ever again.
