“Dr. Nejat performed cataract surgery for both of my eyes 9 months ago. I did lots of research to find the best doctor to do this and was impressed by all the positive reviews he received. I drive an hour from NJ and can definitely say it’s been worth it. It’s a once in a lifetime procedure and I had high myopia and an astigmatism so it’s so important to get it right. He was so patient in explaining everything to me and answering all of my many questions. He absolutely put me at ease. The same level of care and patience continued throughout the aftercare and follow up appointments. There is a wait during each appointment so don’t expect it to be quick but it’s probably because of how patient he is in answering questions. Highly recommend Dr. Nejat and Island Eye!!“

She had a stroke at 24 years old. We could not find a doctor that was a neuro ophthalmologist, and found Dr. Vicci. He also was very attentive, and was a great doctor. “Dr Rothman is an exceptional optometrist, best I’ve seen. But if you have a complicated prescription, I do not recommend having glasses made by the office; they are disorganized and sent the wrong prescription to their lab, and their lab did a crummy job.“
