I never enjoyed exercising. I always thought that some day it would just click and I would be training for marathons and buying lots of workout gear. Well, in my 50 some-odd years on this planet, it never did. I just wrote it off as something that I just wouldn't be doing in my lifetime.A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. I was very surprised as I had always considered myself a fairly healthy person. As I was contemplating my options, a friend told me about ALF. I am 72 years old. I have osteoporosis. I joined the gym to improve my upper body strength. The classes are small, the individual attention superb, the individualized program focuses on one’s needs. After a 10 minute group warm up you follow your own program. There are always one or two coaches guiding you and making sure your form is good.Every one is friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. I am delighted to be part of this gym.

As someone that was not in very good shape but too anxious to go to a gym or take that first step to do anything about it, this place was the perfect place for me. Coach David has transformed my health both mentally and physically in the last year and I couldn’t be any happier about it and look forward to my sessions every week
