I truly appreciate that heknows how to teach people of all ages and experience as that has allowed my wife and I to both train here and grow in the great sport of Judo. Master Kim is truly an exceptional instructor. He doesn’t just teach kicks and forms. He teaches discipline, respect, confidence, and perseverance. He really sees each child and knows how to challenge them while still encouraging them. The structure is strong and consistent, but there’s also so much care behind it. You can tell he genuinely wants every student to grow, not just in martial arts, but in character.

The assistant instructors are also amazing — caring, attentive, and very supportive. And the overall atmosphere is something special. The students encourage each other, show respect, and create such a positive environment. As a parent, that means everything.

“Cruz MMA offers a great environment in which to learn directly under a great master at the Art of fighting . What I like the most is you practice in real time not in theory , when you throw a kick or punch you will see what adjustments you have to make in order to delivery that . Coach Cruz is very knowledgeable and a student still of the history. Of martial arts it’s evident by one of his students who happens to be Alex Periera the current UFC champ . All his students now have access to things capable of a road to the UFC IF the student wishes . Amazing coaching , highly recommended !“

“Even though Mooshim is nowhere near where I live, I can tell you that this Taekwondo school is outstanding. I met Master Amy several years ago while training at my local dojang. We became friendly and I know that her biggest passion in life is Taekwondo (OK...maybe a close second to her family! She does love them!). Master Amy has trained under multiple TKD Grandmasters and brings a refreshing perspective to the art: a perfect combination of traditional martial arts, fitness and sports acumen. Master Amy cares deeply about every one of her students and truly gets joy out of watching their growth and success. When covid shut everything down in March, I started training with her and her students online. She shifted gears and created asynchronous content for her students to access - but, more importantly, kept the flow of live classes going using zoom. Online-only classes continued until some of the restrictions started to lift. She is currently running hybrid classes so that she can address the needs of all. There are several students that are strictly online since they live in different parts of the US (even different time zones!). Since we're still at the height of the pandemic, all in-person participants require masks, temperature checks, hand sanitizer and substantial social distancing - so (in-person) class sizes are currently limited. Master Amy has taken all precautions - and then some - to ensure everyone's safety. She's been incredibly creative on how to teach nuanced techniques from a distance and will try anything to help bring her students along.
