AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! I asked for a trim and they cut my shoulder length hair to my chin. And it’s a bad cut too. After trying to work on getting the issue corrected or a refund, Nina denied it even happened and offered me a deep conditioner. She stopped communicating with me all together when I told her I didn’t want a deep conditioner. I went to the salon as a final plea and she didn’t care. Now I have to spend more money to get my hair fixed and I’m distraught to get my hair done again.

First of all Nina was late,for it to be my first time. I should figure it was not going to be good. Ask for color which it came out nice.But her attitude sucks, not friendly at all. I ask her did she have protein shampoo and conditioner, so she said yes, but it is 10$ each one. I said fine, but not say I wanted in my hair, she take it upon herself to put it in my hair, then charge me for the conditioner. After telling my sister that everything would be 90$ for a roller set, conditioner and color. On top of that she actually said I was trying to get over on her for 10 dollars and told me I have the money. She don't know me like that to say what I don't and do have. Also, very unprofessional and I will not recommend nobody to her shop. Keep have a nasty attitude and you will not get far. God bless you for your unprofessional attitude.

Nina has been doing my hair for years, and now she does my daughter’s hair. Her skill is unmatched, especially when it comes to color. Her customer service is wonderful, and I’ve never been unhappy with my results.

Nina's salon is amazing with my natural hair. I usually get a wash, deep conditioner, and a roller set..my hair is always beautiful and bouncy and the ladies here are always friendly and professional...I have been a loyal customer since 2005 !!!

Worst place ever!! They discuss you in Spanish saying racist, disparaging stuff about you, they did not know I spoke Spanish. Overpriced for such poor work. Save your money and go somewhere else especially if you’re a black person with type 4 hair.

I WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!!!! Worst experience ever ....I visited that salon (East Orange location) they also have one in Newark once before for my daughter birthday in March the lady that serviced my daughter did an excellent job with her wash and blow dry ..So I decided I will come back again for her graduation that was last week ...First of the lady did my daughter hair horrible for the money I paid it was very frizzy and the blowout didn't even last and it's only 1 day after getting it done ..But that isn't the story upon leaving the salon the manager Nina called me accusing My 10 yr old daughter my 4 year old daughter and her best friend as well that they stole the flatiron from the store ...I told her my kids didn't touch or steal anything I never raised my kids to steal .She has cameras in the shop .she never looked at the camera before calling me and accusing my kids off stealing ( She called blaming them telling me to bring the flatiron back to the salon the following day).That was so upsetting to hear .what even made it worse my kids had to experience such horrific trauma because she called accusing them of stealing something when they NEVER touched or took anything ...Upon speaking to her she called me telling me she will check the cameras,I told her to go ahead because i know for a fact my girls didn't touch or take anything I told her call me back with the camera footage (And told her when she checks the camera and she see these kids never took anything she owes them an apology.She never called me back .because she saw that she accused them for no reason..It's just sad black kids always getting blamed for things .racism at its best ..it so sad.I wont recommend none to go there especially if you have kids to be accused and blamed .Nina should be ashamed and especially the worker that did my daughter hair as well .Look before accusing someone RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!

Worst hair salon ever! Anna permed my hair, left the relaxer on to long and took out most of my hair. Than played that I Don't Speak English Game. Very Very Unprofessional Place ??

I DO NOT recommend for natural Black hair. They are Afro Latina but do not service nor like servicing natural black hair.Firstly, they were trying to convince me that I couldn’t get rollers before blowing because my hair is too curly and the rollers won’t wrap around? the silliest thing I ever heard as a person who gets their hair done at salons AND does roller set then blow dry, this guarantees body. I was adamant about my roller set first.Secondly, the woman sitting in the chair, when she was rolling my hair said in Spanish TWICE that my hair was bad when the one standing was inquiring how much she wanted to charge. Apparently, natural hair is an upcharge. Should be illegal if ya ask me but anyway- I was required to pay upfront, btw. Also, when my hair is blown, the texture is smoother than hers so she can continue to sit. ?I only came because my usual spot closed early and I couldn’t get out of work in time and celebrating my husband’s birthday tomorrow, I needed my hair done pronto. Never tf again!
