Very happy with my small sized bohemian knotless braids. I haven't been there in years and I used to go all the time years ago. I am almost never satisfied with my hair at a salon but I was pleasantly satisfied with this hairstyle. I highly recommend the shop!

Requested style: Small sized Bohemian knotless braids

Stylist: I forgot my stylist name, but she had blonde hair and worked at the second station on the right. She was so gentle and did not braid tight at all.i would ho to her again!

I wanna to start by say I am very thankful that this place gave me a same day appointment, they also provide hair and it’s kept pretty clean. Butttt for my hair I do not like I showed the braided a picture of my hairstyle wanted I as she was parting my hair she said she didn’t know where to start ? so I showed the picture again and from a different angle. I assume she knew what she was doing. I informed her before she started breeding my hair that I was in postpartum breakage, and I also had a soft spot in the middle of my head, and that my scalp is very tender and ask her if she Cannot braid too tight due to that, I told her what size I wanted, which was medium braids All I wanna say is she did not do that at all I told her what length I wanted it She didn’t give me my lane all around didn’t listen to anything that I said. I also kept asking. When is she going to cut the length because it tapers and I asked her can she give me that? I kept asking her when we both didn’t understand each other. I’m assume because she The way is shown in the picture And I’m assume that the owner came over and seen my hair and she told her the front part wasn’t right, so they had to take it out and put these box braids that is in the photos. While she was adding it back, I said that it was too tight and she said oh, she said that about the whole head And I was thinking, maybe it’s just because you know they just took some braids out and put it back in But now my head has bumps because it’s so tight. I can’t even wear beads because it’s pulling my hair so badly. I guess I should’ve had a different braider. But this was my first experience at this salon. Will I go back most likely not.

The owner is very nice and explains what styles would work for your hair. The team works fast where you have 2 and 3 braiders. They are very clean. Also, they are friendly and nice ? ? ? been going to them for about 2 years now

Braided my hair nice. However, she didn't do the style I requested. She also moved my head around more than other braiders. Very nice shop, but I probably will try someone else before I return.

Been coming to Matou for years. Literally over 15 years. It's the only place I get my hair braided and though I don't like in Jersey anymore. I send everyone here as well. Great service and beautiful technique.

I love this place! I come here every few years whenever I want my hair Braided and they never disappoint. From the initial call until I walk out the door I am Satisfied. Professional, clean and they listen to exactly what you want. I believe my stylist was Rayza (possibly mispelled) and she was great but from what I saw all the ladies do a great job! I got small knotless braids and it's exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend this shop!
