I would not recommend this place, despite being a loyal customer since before the pandemic.
I dropped my daughter off at 10:00 AM expecting her to be done by 1:30pm-2pm. She was one of the first two clients of the day. They had washed her hair and placed her under the dryer, but she ended up sitting under it for three hours not because her hair needed that long, but because they decided to start working on two other clients who arrived after her.
When I arrived, she was simply waiting, already done with the hairdryer, just sitting there to be blow-dried and flat ironed while others were being prioritized. It became clear that they were taking advantage of the fact that I wasn't there to advocate for her. There was no communication, and my daughter, a soft-spoken 12-year-old, was clearly in distress and confused. No one spoke to her, no one reassured her, and she was simply ignored. That is unacceptable.
Even another client was shocked when I explained she had been sitting there since 10 AM. And yet, after I spoke up, they still prioritized finishing the second person ahead of her. I briefly left again to go to the ATM, and when I returned, they were preparing to start a third client again ignoring my daughter who had been waiting for hours.
It’s unacceptable to continually disregard and push back (a child who has been there since morning) down the line in favor of newer clients. It sends the wrong message, especially to a child, that their time and presence are not valued.
To make matters worse, once they finally started on her hair around 2:15 PM, the stylist was noticeably aggressive with the flat iron. I witnessed her clamp the flat iron harshly and too close to my daughter's scalp, causing her to flinch multiple times from being burned. My daughter tried to speak up, but as a quiet and polite child, she struggled to assert herself.
What made the situation even more upsetting was the care and joy the stylist seemed to show toward the two other clients with straighter, longer hair, who were prioritized ahead of my daughter despite coming after. The contrast in treatment was glaring, and honestly, it felt colorist and had clear favoritism for the client and their type of hair.
No child or client, for that matter should be treated this way. We've trusted this salon for years and spent our money here, but after this experience, I will not be returning. It was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and emotionally upsetting for my daughter on what was supposed to be a special day for her.
Children are clients too. They deserve respect, care, and clear communication especially young Black girls whose voices, presence, and importance as people and as clients is often go unheard and ignored. I hope this does not happen to anyone else because it doesn’t feel good as a child and as a parent seeing her daughter experience this in her own neighborhood.

We drove 200 miles to sit in Leah-Janae’s chair, and it was absolutely worth every mile! After 2 months in a hospital bed, She transformed my daughter’s Sisterlocks into beautifully reconstructed microlocs with such precision and care. Her expertise, professionalism, and passion for her craft truly shine through. The results were excellent—my daughter’s grid is back intact and her locs feel amazing! If you’re looking for a skilled loctician who knows what she’s doing, LocUrIntegrity on IG is the one. We Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend this place enough. They care for natural Black hair really well. The detangling process entails co washing before applying shampoo. Elsa is a great stylist as well.
There isn’t a personal touch in terms of building a relationship but the ease of going in and coming out within 2 hours makes up for it.

The hairdresser Olivia Blake has very bad professionalism. She uses her outside problems to take it out on her clients. She tried to overcharge me for finger waves, perm and hair dye. I had gave her a $25 deposit like she asked and asked if I should come back. She insisted on finishing my hair kept ignoring me the whole time but chatted with another client in my face. My hair came out HORRIBLE! I had to tell this lady to give me back my money! Her energy was TERRIBLE!Services: Perms
