711 S 50th St, Philadelphia“We love Green Tambourine's approach to teaching music to kids. They make a fun, safe space for kids to explore.
My kid's not a massive fan of being told what to do and her teachers have always found a way to connect with her and meet her where she is.
The environment is great. It's very welcoming and it's a good environment to learn music.
There's a lovely front room for parents that are waiting for their kids. When my kid was really young it was fine to just be in the class at the same time with her.
They're really easy to work with, including mid term scheduling changes.
My kid wanted to add:
It's really fun for music lovers. They also have a lot of unique fun instruments.“

614 S 2nd St, Philadelphia“I'm very picky and wanted a particular type of accordion, but I wanted to get my hands on it before purchasing. I flew across the country and arrived on a Tuesday, the first day of the week the shop is open. I should've predicted how busy it would be, but the staff were very patient as I tried about 10 different accordions and found the perfect one for me. I'm very happy with my purchase and with all the help I received from Liberty Bellows. I will definitely go here again for future purchases.“

1920 S Sartain St, Philadelphia“I'm an amateur drummer taking lessons from Rob for 2.5 years. My playing has improved tremendously in that time in large part from Rob's instruction. He is an experienced and patient teacher of fundamentals, songs, and flourishes. He points out inconsistencies in technique, dynamics, and timing -- and recommends practice exercises for improvement. Many exercises come from dozens of custom music sheets he hands out for learning different theory, time signatures and styles of drumming including rock, funk, Latin, reggae, jazz, etc. He is flexible and responsive with lesson scheduling and charges reasonable prices. If you want to improve your drumming or are interested in starting, I highly recommend reaching out to Rob @ South Philly Drum Lessons.“

263 Kings Hwy W, Haddonfield“Chris is the most fun piano teacher! Our daughter (6 years-old) has learned so much from him — all with a big smile on her face. If you are looking for a piano teacher who is not only very talented and well-trained, but also fun — Chris is for you!“

737 Ellsworth St, Philadelphia“Both Mr. and Mrs. Kalendar have been amazing teachers to me. Their enthusiasm and constant encouragement have kept me going for more lessons, each of which has given me such valuable information. The two of them have in-depth and complementary knowledge on technique and composition across a myriad of genres. Unlike most musicians I've met in the US, they were not originally from this country, and bring knowledge of musical cultures from across the globe, which they are helping me learn and incorporate into my pieces. While Mr. Kalendar is a renowned jazz musician in Philadelphia, his interests and skills go far beyond that single umbrella-term. They are extremely flexible with their lessons, and dedicate a lot of time to each individual, catering lesson plans based on the individual. Regardless of what level you are at, as a musician, you will never leave their home feeling discontent. It is almost akin to having a 'guru', and I am so glad that I started learning from the two of them.“

“I have been working with Eileen for a couple of years now. I have always wanted to learn how to play piano. It’s never too late to take lessons. I am the type of person that ask a lot of questions and want to know why. I want to take my time to learn theory as well as how to play. Eileen is very knowledgeable teaching hands playing on as well as theory. At 59 years of age I am still that inquisitive kid! She takes the time to answer all of my questions. She has techniques (or projects) that she can show shortcuts by breaking the music into more manageable parts that will have you playing in no time. I can’t stress enough; Practice, Practice, Practice. She accommodates my schedule by providing an 8:00pm to 9:00pm time slot.“
