“I used to go to the enormous building on Bronx Blvd. occupied by ABC Carpet to shop for floor coverings. Recently, I needed wall-to-wall carpeting for the first floor of a house that I purchased last year. I knew that ABC Carpet had closed, so I searched the internet for alternatives and I found Morris Park Flooring right in my neighborhood. There I met Jimmy, the owner, who has more than 50 years of experience in selling flooring. He guided me to a decision on a high quality carpet and introduced me to Rafael an experienced installer who met me at the house to take measurements. “My husband and I discovered water damage to the wood floor under our laminate in the condo we had just bought - it had clearly been there for a while, and the floor was so warped the laminate was bursting out. It was right in the middle of our living room and our apartment was already a wreck from getting ready for a new baby, so we were distraught, especially when most of the companies we reached out to quoted astronomical figures and/or said they would only do the project if they could redo the whole room. We needed the apartment to be safe for a new baby, but also couldn't afford to redo our whole apartment. Ishmael and Great American Hardwood Floor literally saved us - they gave us a reasonable quote just off of photos, explaining that it could be more if the subfloor was involved but reassuring us that it didn't seem that way from what they could see. Once we agreed, they showed up the next day and had it all fixed within a few hours, even replacing the laminate we had saved and cleaning the whole area after. For the first time we have a flat floor and its amazing. Could not recommend enough!“

Maria was pleasant to work with as well ( very responsive). I am certain the floors will last for a very long time. There were a few details we both missed during the final walkthrough. I didn't notice that there was missing caulking with the shoe molding in the some of the closets. I'm sure if I caught it during the walkthrough it would have been taken care of.“

“I reached out to Manny with a tough damage on my quartz kitchen countertop (bleach had spread across it and left multiple discolored spots). Even though this type of quartz damage is not something he usually treats, Manny went above and beyond — he researched, ordered the right product, and carefully repaired it. The result is amazing: the bleach spots are now almost invisible, and you’d really have to look hard to notice the old marks. I’m very happy with the outcome and highly recommend Manny to anyone looking for repair to their stone or quartz countertops.“
