“My daughter received a gift card to Hair Philosophy for her 14th birthday and decided she wanted to try highlights for the very first time. As a mom, I was a little nervous because she had never had her hair colored before, but she was excited to try something new.

The original color was beautiful and the stylist did an amazing job. It was just a little more dramatic than my daughter was expecting, and once she got home, she became self-conscious and wasn’t feeling completely comfortable with how different it looked.

What really impressed me was how wonderful her stylist was about it. She was so understanding and welcoming and allowed my daughter to come back in to have the color blended and softened. She listened to exactly what my daughter was trying to achieve and made sure she felt comfortable and confident.

The final result is PERFECT — exactly what my daughter was trying to ask for. She absolutely loves it, and most importantly, she feels like herself again while still getting to enjoy her first experience with highlights. ❤

“I had the best experience at Salon 144! I saw Lana for hair extensions, and because I have fine hair, we decided that IBE extensions would be the best fit for me. Lana took her time explaining the benefits of IBE compared to other extension methods, and I really appreciated how much care she put into making sure we chose the right option for my hair.

The installation was completely painless, and now that they’re in, I can barely even feel the row on my head. They look absolutely AMAZING and blend with my natural hair so seamlessly that you would never know I have extensions!

Last night I put my hair into a loose braid before bed, and I woke up with the most beautiful, effortless beach waves. It’s honestly going to make styling my hair on vacation SO much easier, which is a huge bonus!

“I had a great experience getting a color correction here. At another salon, my hair was dyed way too dark with a toner, and a friend of mine recommended to get it fixed at Subculture. The staff was great with me on the phone about making an appointment, requesting photos of what my hair looked like, and doing a consultation to make sure we they knew what I needed for the appointment. My stylist Mark was very clear about what to expect, and explained the process well. He also got me a cup of coffee while I waited under the dryer, which was very kind. Most importantly, he got all of the dark brown out of my hair and restored me back to a blonde! I was really surprised at how successful he was, I thought that the brunette gloss would be much harder to get out. Overall a 10/10! And very reasonably priced too.
