“I am very pleased with the work completed on my house. I had been shopping around for quotes for some work I needed done on my bay window roof and siding. They sent a very knowledgeable worker who was able to answer all my questions and provide me with recommendations on the spot. While it was not the cheapest quote I received (but also not the most expensive), it was the most comprehensive in terms of work that would address a problem that I believed would solve an issue I was having with a leak. I have an older house (1900) with difficult to work with siding and Novalis was the only company whose quote directly targeted some damage to the siding above my bay window and offered what I believe to be a long term solution.Understandably, it took a few weeks for me to get on the schedule, but this was communicated up front with me and I was fine waiting. Once I was on the schedule I had a team of two workers come to my house and complete the work within two days. They reroofed the bay window roof, redid the flashing, cut a strip of siding to install edging which fixed the damage that was there, and installed gutters. Pictures were provided before, during, and after the work was completed. The workmanship is top tier and it fixed the leak I was having.Overall, I had a very positive experience with Novalis and intend on continuing with them for future work that needs to be completed on my house. I believe that the pricing quoted is appropriate for the value of the work, and their customer service is fantastic. I highly recommend Novalis for anyone shopping around for a knowledgeable, high value roofing/ siding contractor, especially with difficult issues encountered with older houses.“

“I am a licensed Architect in NJ and NY, and a repeat client/customer of TruCLEAN Wash. This mid-Sept. day, Paul Russo and his TruClean crew came to our house and, as per his detailed itemized cost quote, performed their work. This started with cleaning all roof gutters and ensuring that all leaders and downspouts were not clogged by thoroughly flushing them. They then applied their chemical agent via spray method to kill any and all mold, mildew, algae and moss that was present on the cedar shingles. After a short period of time they used a wide spray power washing to rinse and flush all of the dead remains of that organic growth, as well as any tree sap from the roof. They also performed spot cleaning of selected areas of our stucco facades, masonry chimney and flagstone terrace where stubborn dirt had collected on the surface. They completed their work to my complete satisfaction in one day and cleaned up after themselves. All in all, once again, I can and do highly recommend TruCLEAN Wash for this type of roof cleaning, for cedar shingles, as well as slate and/or terra cotta roof tiles that become stained from mildew, mold, moss, sap and other tree droppings, as well as general air pollution. One can quickly tell that Paul and his team take pride in producing high quality workmanship to achieve the desired final results. “Jeronimo was responsive, punctual and so knowledgeable. I thought the gutters were leaking but he quickly found that the underlayment on my 80 year old slate needed replacement on one section of the roof. He carefully removed each slate, added new underlayment and then replaced each slate in its original position cutting new ones where necessary. He pointed out problems from previous repairs. What great work! I will use JCX for all my slate maintenance in the future.“

“A few years ago, we had a leak in our kitchen after a heavy rain. A friend recommended Blue Nail. We contacted them, one of the reps came out, checked the roof, going into the attic plus sending up drones taking pictures. What impressed us at that time was his response to the leak - rather than telling us we needed a new roof immediately, he stated "we had a few good years left on this roof and it was probably just the storm since it blew sideways." So here we are in Jan 2024, another rain and windstorm but this time we lost many shingles on our 25-year-old roof. So now the "few good years" are gone, and Blue Nail came immediately to mind. Roofing has been the best I have ever had, to date, with a member of the trades. As a woman with a background in building science, far too many of my experiences with tradespeople that are men have been assuming my ignorance, being condescended to, being cut off and spoken over, and, sadly, receiving estimates from those that I have learned should not be in construction at all due to their lack of knowledge and often combined with an ingrained work culture to just get it done fast, instead of get it done right.Cafo is different. He was on time to the estimate, he was highly respectful, he was friendly, he was knowledgeable, he listened to me and even apologized for accidently cutting me off at one point, and it is highly apparent that he truly loves what he does.While he had an employee accompany him, HE climbed my roof himself to inspect and came back to me with an honest assessment and quote on the spot. Since I had already received quotes from other roofers and experienced their - less than desirable - service, I knew I had found who I was looking for to care for my hundred year old gorgeous slate roof that I was blessed to finally find in my new home. He got the job.They were on time to the job, they did excellent work, they cleaned up, he even came down to tell me he noticed there was a minor issue with the flashing on our chimney that he had not noticed and so he replaced it all with brand new flashing FOR FREE.
