“My new 2019 Velux skylight was stuck for several years making the operable skylight inoperable and with 3 heat waves already in NJ I had to find a way to open it to release hot air. Too small a job for roofers; handymen dont have high ladders; was not interested in replacing skylight. Roof Plus agreed to take a look. Anthony & Kyle were able to open the stuck skylight. Not only that they measured it for me and marked its model in my owner instruction. They opened & closed several times and adjusted its manual pole to work better for me. Then they went up on the roof (2.5 stories up) to look at its exterior and all was in very good condition. I agreed to pay a modest roof inspection fee and then they did indeed inspect my roof. Only 1 deficiency was found; blocked dryer vent even though I have it cleaned. And I received a written report with photos with findings of roof inspection. They also went into attic to check gable mount fan which had been set to turn on at too high a temp so they lowered and they turned on another fan up there to vent the oppressive air. Since this temps cooled again but I will appreciate a way to release hot air via skylight when next heat wave happens. Thank you Roof Plus; you impressed me.“
