“Bernards Eye Care really saved me when I had pain and severe discomfort in my eye that wasn't getting better. The office manager was so courteous and understanding while I explained the issue on the phone. I had already been very upset and worried, because other places just rushed me off the phone and were not sensitive to my situation. The office manager was so patient and kind, and she was able to get me in, despite the late hour. The other staff member was also very patient and understanding, and I did not feel "rushed," or as if I was inconveniencing them in any way. Dr. Dente was very thorough, knowledgeable, and professional as he examined and assessed the problem with my eye. Everyone there really put me at ease, and I felt so much better by the time the examination was finished. I work in healthcare, so I appreciate and recognize the value of excellent customer service and patience (especially when the person is in pain or severe discomfort, which I definitely was). I highly recommend Bernards Eye Care, with an emphasis on the "Care." Thank you so much for making time for me at the last minute. “Pre 2023, I would recommend that everybody ignore all the negative reviews since this business has a new doctor with a whole new perspective on customer service. Doctor Patel has gone out of her way to make sure that the contacts I need for my special situation actually fit my needs. She asked me many questions and formed a couple of solutions to my needs. She has allowed me to come in later in the day (On the same day!) to try and adjust the lenses to fit me...and the fitting has taken a few visits since there are so many different lens profiles that would fit my needs. As she said, if they don't work, you will most likely not use them, so let's make sure these are exactly what you need and want...so that you use them, and like them. Every question is answered with a down to earth answer, but based on science, too! If you disagree with my assessment, go ahead and throw tomatoes at me, but I'll going to keep coming back...for Doctor Patel“

Ippolito was a hard act to follow but Lillian is very professional and thorough during the exam. Sharif was very patient with my questions and quickly resolved prescription sunglasses that I haven’t been able to see out for 1 year with adjusted new lenses that now I can see great with.“

“Dr. Siwoof and his staff and his wonderful wife/office manager have taken the time to thoroughly examine, test and find results that allow my 94 year old mom to continue to read, write, drive when other doctors have failed for years. The office atmosphere is homey and comfortable and I have given out many cards to people who have heard about my mom and asked who finally gave her the ability to see again, read again, and legally drive her car. The drive to Chester is long but it is located in the beautiful rural Chester area. All of the staff are attentive, well trained, more than friendly and compassionate. Once in a while you might have to wait longer than you like because Dr. Siwoof takes the time it takes to make a real change in your life!! We don't mind. We've been offered snacks and entertained and the apologies aren't even necessary but we get them anyway. If you or your friends or family have serious eyesight issues that other doctors can't or claim they can't help you with, come to Dr. Siwoof's office. He is one of only 5 Low Vision Centers that really know what they are doing in the country. We have been seeing Dr. Siwoof for 2 years. I can't say enough good about Dr. & Mrs Siwoof, and the staff. They changed my mom's life and mine as well.“
