I absolutely LOVED my experience at the Crowned Social. I got a full Brazilian wax & Shanii took her time & got every single hair visible. The service did not hurt at all & she’s so professional. MUCH BETTER THAN THE EUROPEAN WAX CENTER (who left hair after the service). I’ll never go back. Crowned Social is my new home now ! :)

So I’ve officially given up hard wax and converted to Sugaring thanks to Shani! For my first time, she made my experience very pleasant. From the music to the decor, I felt right at home. She’s very thorough in explaining what to expect and what your service consists of. I had a full vaginal spa (haha) which consisted of sugaring, a vajacial and ended with a steam, and let’s just say I feel brand new! I’ll definitely be booking with Shani again and bringing my friends/family too.

I can’t believe the level of unprofessionalism that was demonstrated here. Upon my arrival for my sugaring appointment Shani was NOT wearing a mask and did NOT put one on during the entirety of my service! I have yet to experience this in a professional environment and it completely through me off guard. Just about all establishments require customers as well as employees to wear masks while working yet the owner of this shop decides not to wear one, putting myself, herself, and other clientele (all of you) at risk for the coronavirus. I love supporting Black owned businesses whenever I can, but I’m never coming here again and I advise you to do the same. At this point in time it is just beyond disrespectful to not wear a mask and protect yourself and your family as well as your clientele’s. It’s disrespectful, it’s rude, and it shows that you have no care for anyone, not even yourself. I’d leave negative stars if I could.

BEST WAX EVER!!!!!!!!! Shani was so kind and gentle. She made sure I was okay the whole wax. The shoppe is soo clean and beautifully designed! I will be a regular customer now!!

Super unprofessional.Let’s start at the beginning. I found the page on Instagram and decided to book a service for my sisters birthday. From the very beginning, the owner, Shani, was answering my messages extremely late and being very vague with answering my questions. I figured she’s busy and running a business isn’t simple so I looked past it and called them to get the process moving. I booked two v-steams & a vajacial. My total was around $160, (which was charged in FULL from my card before even getting the service) and we set the appointment time for 3pm. I booked this a WHOLE week before. I then called back a couple of hours later and asked if I could change my appointment to 12 because it worked better for our plans tor the day. Shani assured me that this was not an issue as she had open availability that day.Come the day of, we show up at about 11:50 AM & the door is locked. Shani eventually came to the door and didn’t even greet us just said “I thought you were coming at 3” when I told her what we were there for.She explained that she had forgotten to change the time when I called her back for the 12pm appointment and had a “VIP” customer scheduled for 12 and another for 1 and 1:30. Asked us to come back 2 hours later to be serviced.I explained to her that we had already made other arrangements for the day and this was not possible. She had no sort of apologies for us and her only other option was to refund my money. Her entire demeanor was sooo unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. How can you “forget” to reschedule someone and then make other clients a priority just because they’re regulars? She will never get any new business acting this way. I’m so disappointed and this was nothing but a complete waste of time.
