He takes daily medications, he’s selective about the people he trusts, and he definitely prefers love on his own terms. Jess and her team have never tried to change who he is. Instead, they’ve taken the time to understand him, respect his boundaries, and care for him exactly the way he needs.<br><br>They know he doesn’t want to be petted, but that doesn’t stop them from telling him how handsome he is every day and giving him all the verbal praise and affection he’s comfortable with. It might seem like a small thing, but it means the world to know he’s being treated with kindness, patience, and genuine compassion while we’re away.<br><br>One of the biggest gifts they gave us was peace of mind. Anytime I wanted to check in, someone was there to answer my questions, and if they happened to miss my call, they always called me back quickly. Knowing Scout was in such capable hands meant we could actually relax and enjoy our vacation instead of worrying about him.<br><br>They were also wonderful about making sure he received his medications exactly as needed, which was another huge comfort.<br><br>Reactive dogs deserve understanding just as much as any other dog, and Northcliff Kennels truly gets that. They don’t just board Scout. They take the time to know him, respect him, and care for him in a way that makes him feel safe.
