I’ve been seeing Nichole for a while for Sciatic nerve pain in my back. I play a lot of golf and this has been prohibiting me from playing. All I can say is WOW! She’s amazing at what she does. The location is very convenient, the office is modern. The best part? I called 5 places once my insurance approved treatment. Two never got back to me, two were booking out over a month. Nichole happened to answer the phone when I called because her assistant was away from the desk. She offered to see me the following morning at 6:45 am! I highly recommend this place and in particular seeing Nichole

Nicole Poirior at MVPT has been a Godsend for me! I recently started PT with her, and she has already helped me so much after just four visits!!! I can tell she’s going to help me even more as we continue working together!!! After a lifelong search for a practitioner knowledgeable enough to help someone with my condition, I have finally found a PT who knows what they’re doing with hypermobile EDS patients! It has been like finding a unicorn in the wild!!! I have been in PT for over ten years with other PT’s who just had no idea how to help someone like me. We EDS patients need a very subtle and nuanced approach to PT that is hard to find. I was diagnosed with the incurable painful degenerative connective tissue disorder called, hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome, after a lifelong search for answers, I was finally diagnosed at age 29. EDS for short is a genetic condition which means I was born with it. It affects my body’s ability to create collagen, and makes me create collagen that is too soft to support my joints. It causes my joints to sprain and dislocate at the smallest sign of pressure or gravity-simply lifting my arm can sometimes cause my shoulder to go out-so you can imagine how difficult walking is for me. I’m 33 years old and I’ve needed knee braces, since I was 23. I recently started using a walker and cane because the knee braces are not enough for even short distances. I have been struggling immensely for most of my life, with horrible knee pain, as well as overall joint and muscle pain and weakness in my entire body. After I was diagnosed, I searched high and low for for doctors who could help me, but they were few and far between. Nicole at MVPT really knows what’s she’s doing when it comes to hEDS patients and other hyper-mobile or more fragile patients, like spinal surgeries etc. She has started me with lots of manageable (even for me), extremely subtle, little to no range of motion/no impact type exercises that I would never have been able to come up with on my own, but that really feel like they are working and doing a lot for my weakened muscles while protecting my joints. She understands how to coach me away from hyperextensions, and is such a great coach for helping you do these nuanced exercises properly. There’s also an App that has videos of your specific program, where I can check in with her to let her know I completed my exercises at home. Dianne at the front desk is also so wonderful and kind. She has worked with me on stuff and always been sweet and never rude even when I’m running late! I’m really a fragile person, and both Dianne and Nicole have been so accommodating and kind to me, always trying to make things go smoothly for me, and I really appreciate that! Because of my condition, sometimes I really just can’t make it to the office, so Nicole sees me over video chat through the App. I feel so lucky and blessed to have found this physical therapy office and Nicole Poirior!!! She is like finding a needle in a haystack and is exactly what I needed!
