All 4 came back with bids into the thousands of dollars to fix a leak that had been going on for years (we had bought the house 3 years prior). All four companies wanted to remove a portion of the tiles to find and fix the leaks. And this was not even a guarantee to fix the lake. Walking down Central street here in Nebraska City i noticed Schoen's Roofing office. Stopped in, explained my leaky roof to Matt Helms. Matt had no issues with his team working on my terra-cotta roof (many roofers stay clear of tile roofs, to difficult, high tile breakage for the inexperienced). I set the appointment up and he explained that Dillon Bowland, a foreman would be out to look at the house and go from there. Dillion showed up, ontime. Did the estimate on my roof. The problem was flashing and 1 tile needed repair. All the leaking in my house (my kitchen) was due to poor flashing and a cracked tile. Now, I wanna point out that the four other companies wanted to charge me anywhere from 14k to 21k. Matt came back with a estimate of $1200.00. Dillon came back did repairs, and it looks fantastic. And that was a year ago from today November 20th, 2025. A whole year with quite a few rainstorms and no leaking, not one drop came into my home. Mid October 2025, tree branch (Huge limb) hits my home I made a call to Schoen's Roofing (Matt Helms), Matt Stopped by and let me known Dillon Bowland would be fixing my roof!
