I cannot say enough wonderful things about this veterinary clinic! From the moment I called and walked in, the entire team was kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They treated our dog like their own and made me feel confident in the process forward.
The staff and Dr. Hoppes took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of my questions, and ensure I felt comfortable with the plan forward. Their compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail truly was amazing!
It’ is truly such a relief to find a clinic you can fully trust with your pet. I am beyond grateful for the amazing experience we had and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care for their furry family members!

We have been taking our oldest dog to Highlands for 6 years now (and our younger dog as long as we've had him). The staff is always professional, kind and willing to listen to our concerns, and they are so good with our pups! We love all the vets and staff here and highly recommend. We used to live in the area but now live completely across town, but still come here because they are that wonderful.

I’ve been taking my dog to Dr. Hal for 13 years. He has since retired and this place is under new ownership. Wow!! What a disappointment, service is not what it was. Went in for a check up and the vet was not friendly at all. I have a 13 year old that is blind and is nearing the end. STAY AWAY if looking for a vet clinic that cares.

This is a terrible place to go to for pets. The company refuses to fulfill prescriptions because they want to make an extra dollar. They sent me a message saying they would approve the prescription, but they have their own in house pharmacy. They were given the request Friday June 13th. They decided July 3rd that they will no longer fulfill the prescription. My dog is now 8 days past when he is supposed to take his medicine. They sent the written prescription by email, knowing pharmacies can not legally use a photocopied prescription. I am not playing into their Ponzi-scheme. They care more about money than they do pets. They are even trying to hide reviews like this with people like Pam giving reviews of here saying they have been going for 8 years, and also giving a review of another vet 3 years ago. Do not trust this vet.

The name may have changed but the excellent care, compassion and knowledge has not. Dr Behrens has taken care of my fur babies for years. I switched clinics when she started full time at HAH 8 years ago. I have a cocker with multiple health issues and she strives to find the best treatment and maintain Kylie’s quality of life. Because of Kylie’s health issues we are at the clinic frequently and from the time we enter till we leave everyone is amazing. Two months ago Dr Behrens and staff helped by old cat over the rainbow bridge and everyone was so caring. Recently the cocker had a mass removed from her ear and all went very well and got a follow up phone call checking on her. Since I trust my veterinarian with ordering medications I should trust her recommendations on what pharmacy to use so will be ordering meds as they need refilled. Keep up the great work

We love Dr Berhens & the entire staff! They're always so concerned with our furbabys health. We've had 3 dogs all cared for by them and are always happy when we leave. Would recommend them to everyone.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would! We have used this vet for the last 8 years and never had issues until some serious health issues started with my elder dog. They missed diagnosised him and put him through a surgery he didn't need nor helped him! Took him to another vet because our gut told us something was wrong after they brushed us off and said the surgery needs to heal first before we will see positive results. The new vet did some testing and asked if our vet had done a ultrasound or not the answer was No. The new vet did one and found my dog to be full of tumors! They said they are speechless at the fact the highlands did not fully exam my dog to find the root of the problem before giving my dog a unnecessary surgery. Definitely a money hungry vet and I wouldn't trust a word they say! Absolutely disappointed
