I came here from jacksonville to see my ortho doc Joshua Ellerbrock. His staff was so kind and took time to talk to me and make me comfortable with what I had going on. I tried cortisone shots and they didn't help do his nurse talked me to about all options and what she's seen over her many years working there. Then doc came in and we talked.. he wasn't pushy or judgmental and made me feel good about my choices. He's also got a great girl working in the insurance approval office and I've never had a problem with anyone here. I would recommend the ortho here to anyone.. can't speak on other offices within the building because it holds a bunch of medical specialists. I...read full review

I have been seeing Dr. Stemmler at Wilmington Health for years. It's the best care of my life. Dr. Stemmler is a competent and caring doctor. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I have complete faith in his expertise and the Wilmington Health staff. The office staff and nurses have always been polite and professional. I have blood labs drawn twice a year, and Dr. Stemmler meticulously and expertly goes over my results. My wait time to see him is short, and my visits with him are nothing short of charming. I look forward to my semi-annual visits. I have also made several Zoom calls to my doctor scheduled through the virtual portal. Recently I got Covid and the visit and...read full review

The front desk staff is rude. They demand you wear masks, but they only wear them when they see fit. They ask you to be 15 minutes early to every appointment and then act "put out" to deal with you, when you show up early. I literally got reprimanded for checking in early. New Hanover Nurses are amazing, but prepare yourself because the doctors couldn't be more annoyed to see you... no matter why you're there. My doctor didn't even deliver my baby - My amazing nurse did... They've monopolized the health industry in our area so good luck finding care outside of one of their facilities, and they will treat you like a number.
