When I moved to Wilmington from Australia I was desperate to find a stylist that could care for my curls. I met Aimee at Southern Sass Hair Studio, tried her once and have never been anywhere where else in the last 5 years. Not only is she a fabulous stylist who genuinely takes care of your hair, but she has a beautiful heart and her salon is just gorgeous. Her hair products are luxurious! The entire experience was absolutely amazing. The Japanese Head Spa was everything- Amie's expertise, experience, and excellence made the spa even better. My scalp left refresh, my heart left full(er), and I was reminded of the importance of how a healthy lifestyle will even affect your head health. Definitely a repeat customer. If you haven't tried her salon, her styles, or the spa- you need to!!!!

I had the most AMAZING experience with Aimee for the head spa treatment — I cannot recommend this service enough, and will be returning asap. My scalp has never felt cleaner or more rejuvenated, my hair feels fresh even after a second wash at home, and it was the perfect amount of relaxation as if I had just come from a full body massage. Aimee tailors the treatment to your hair type and needs, and recommends products based on your desired result for the treatment. I would recommend this service for ANY hair type and texture, and would recommend just as much if not more for men! Cannot wait to have this service again.

I had my first Japanese Head Spa with Aimee - and It was amazing!! Right from the beginning Aimee made me feel comfortable with her expertise with the equipment and the solutions; we looked at my scalp, and hair follicles with a special piece of equipment - before and after! It was relaxing and enlivening at the same time; each solution, (tailored for me specifically) was applied with a full head massage, followed by a relaxing rain shower rinse, a steam session, hand massage, neck and shoulder massage. By then, my whole body was relaxed and regenerated. The session ended with a blow dry of my now completely renewed and clean hair and a re-look at my scalp - which was incredible! Thank you Aimee for bringing this treatment to our area! What a gift!! Actually, it IS a great gift for someone else AND for me again!! Just Wonderful!

I moved to NC three years ago and was in the search for a new hairstylist after having the same hairstylist for 10 years. It was a scary process trusting a new person and new town with my hair, as I’ve had terrible cuts before. I started my search at another local salon that completely ruined my hair. My friend at work saw my hair after wards and told me I need to go see Aimee at Southern Sass to fix it, and I am SO grateful she did! Aimee not only saved my hair, but gave me one of my favorite styles I’ve ever had. She listened to what I like, took time to look over my Inspo pics, is extremely knowledgeable in her process and will tell you the truth on what youre asking for. She prioritizes high quality hair products for her clients, and has a clean and gorgeous space. Not only is she extremely talented and knowledgeable but she is pure, hilarious and welcoming. It’s hard not to give her a hug after each appointment! If you are searching for a new stylist, go to southern sass and never have to worry about finding another stylist again!
