My wife and I where in town helping my father in law who is remodeling his house. We found Waynesville Yoga Center had a restorative class and it was just what we needed! We spend a good bit of time at Lake Junaluska and will definitely be back! Suzanne was a great instructor with such a soothing voice for a restorative class. The location is a historical home and is absolutely beautiful. We are so glad we found this place. We will probably do a mixed level flow class tomorrow night.

Amazing, inclusive space for all types of yoga practitioners. The embodiment of yoga is for everyone philosophy. I am a yoga teacher myself and the fantastic classes I attended here were so good for my soul, teachers are kind, attentive to students, offer modifications for folks who needs them and just overall are wonderful and knowledgeable

A hidden gem near downtown WVL. Cozy and friendly atmosphere, great outdoor options during the warmer months. Leigh Ann, MT, offers massage not to be missed. Bravo, WYC! Great classes for all levels

Actually this is Mary Ford. I am 67 years old and my yoga journey at Wanyesville Yoga Center (WYC) has led me to their 200 hour teacher training. I started my yoga journey at WYC almost four years ago and it has truly been life changing. The studio itself is calming as soon as you step in and the instructors are professional and caring. Real bodies, real yoga--this studio recognizes that yoga is different for each person and each pose is going to look different for each person. In all my classes, my instructors always tell us not to do anything that causes pain and offer adjustments or modifications as needed. The instructors recognize that each of us knows our own body, but they keep an eye out that we don't do anything that could possible harm us.Waynesville is so fortunate to have such a first-class yoga studio.

I have been attending classes at Waynesville Yoga Center for the past two years. The owner and all of the instructors have made me feel accepted and like part of the family. Their instructors are diverse, knowledgeable and skilled. WYC is truly a yoga studio for all bodies, all levels and all abilities. There is something for everyone here. Before going to WYC, I was extremely intimidated by yoga classes, thinking I would need to be as flexible as a rubber band in order to achieve the poses. The teachers are so accepting and generous, with no judgement on your skill level. I have learned, by attending these classes, that all bodies are different and move completely differently. There's not just one way of doing something. I've learned I may need to modify my pose slightly, while the student next to me may need to modify another. There are many ways to effectively accomplish each pose. There is no pretentiousness here and no elitism. If that's not your kind of yoga studio, then I'm sure Asheville has something to offer you. I'm thankful to have met some wonderful students and teachers here, that I'm very glad I can call my friends. Thank you to everyone at WYC for creating this awesome community!

Ive been practicing yoga for most of my life (my mom did yoga) and I can promise you there is no yoga in this place and there are no yoga teachers. They advertised as a yoga studio but do not teach yoga, they host something else—I wouldn’t know what to call it. They sarcastically told me they weren’t a “shala.”Just be careful if you go here because without adequate instruction you may be setting yourself up for injury.Shala: Shala is a sanskrit word meaning “home”. Therefore, a yoga shala is a gathering place for students of yoga to practice, share, experience and grow.
