“The Church Interiors Rep gave the impression that the work would be done by their employees, but they use sub-contractors.<br><br>After serving on a church renovation committee I have a few thoughts to share if you are in the process of hiring a contractor to build or renovate your worship space.<br><br>First remember that it’s God’s house and God’s money, Glorify Him Alone. Get the best value.<br><br>Get at least two bids three preferably. If it’s a large project consider using a one stop contractor to bring all the necessary subs together. Local specialty subs can usually provide lower bids if you need only one or two areas renovated (ie carpet, pew refinishing, paint). Review Google and Facebook reviews. Visit their website and read through it. Check four references. Visit previous sites that the contractors have worked at to view their work. If any part of the project has contingencies or time and material, have the contractor state a cost not to exceed so you know a worst case scenario for budgeting. Negotiate pricing with your preferred contractor by using other contractor’s bids. Make sure that the work you paid for is completed to your satisfaction, maybe hire a third party inspector.”

“I called two plumbers to replace my toilet pipe and vent pipe in my main bathroom. One never called, one said they would be here on Wednesday and never showed. I called Priority Plumbing late on Wednesday and was told they would call the next morning to set a time to look at the job. Next morning, I got a call at 7:50 AM and was asked if 8:30 AM would work to give a quote. I said yes, they were here at 8:20 AM 10 minutes later was given a price. I asked when they could do the job, and was told, now. They did a great job. Everything as I has asked it to be done. I would recommend them to any one for any job.”
