The dentist is knowledgeable, personable, laid-back, and genuinely kind. He comes from a family of dentists, and there is something about his practice that reminds me of the old-school, hometown dental offices that are becoming harder and harder to find. I personally much prefer that kind of atmosphere over the large chain-style dental practices where you sometimes feel like just another patient being moved through.
One thing that has meant a great deal to me is the way I have been treated. After having cancer, some of the medications I had to take as part of my medical treatment negatively affected my teeth, and I was already very self-conscious about it. From my very first visit, he never once made me feel embarrassed or ashamed, lectured me, or talked down to me. Instead, he was understanding, explained what needed to be done, and focused on helping me get my dental health back on the right track. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated being treated with that kind of compassion and respect.
His staff has been just as wonderful. They are professional, friendly, patient, and willing to take the time to help you. I am also extremely sensitive when having my teeth cleaned and normally dread it. At my most recent cleaning, the hygienist did not hurt me one single time. That is a huge compliment coming from me!
I also enjoy the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the office. They play Christian music at times, which I personally enjoy, and the whole office just has a comfortable, down-to-earth feeling about it.
I have been thoroughly impressed with the care I have received here and am so thankful my daughter told me about this practice. It is such a good feeling to finally have a dentist I trust and actually feel comfortable going to.
