I called Pioneer Exteriors to install some french doors after having a bad experience with a handyman service. My door frame is custom, and the handyman service kept ordering the wrong size. Pioneer came out and made sure it was measured properly so it would fit. It looks absolutely wonderful. I intend to call them if I every need any exterior work done in the future.

Many of my neighbors in Historic Oakwood recommended Pioneer to me for storm windows. Storms are essential for historic homes or others with old windows. Pioneer cuts them to fit odd sized windows and has color choices that match trim so you hardly see them. They keep out cold/hot air, reduce noise and keep you from having to paint so often. They have screens for the few nice days we have in Raleigh. I bought my storms in 1998 and they are still wonderful. Recently I ordered some custom cut screens. I used Pioneer Exteriors in 2009 to install Gorell windows in my home. I had four estimates from local companies and Pioneer was the 2nd highest but after checking references decided you get what you pay for so I decided to give the go-ahead to Pioneer Exteriors. Install went great. Only two guys were needed and were the same two the entire job. Think it only took them two days to install 28 windows. Had an issue with a seal going bad on one of the windows a few years later. The warranty was through the window manufacturer which covered the replacement cost.
