About Duke Neurology of Raleigh
Duke Neurology of Raleigh provides care for those with neurological disorders such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and headaches. The team offers the latest in neurological care, including tests, treatments, and breakthrough research. One patient had a great visit, praising Dr. Pietak's knowledge and experience in patient care, despite a longer wait time in the waiting room and occasional parking difficulties. However, another patient had a negative experience with scheduling. After waiting several months for an appointment, the appointment was canceled last minute due to the doctor being out of the office, with the next available appointment being 3 months away. Despite these scheduling issues, Dr. Pietak is highly regarded by patients for his attentive and personalized care. One patient mentioned that he has made adjusting to a scary and overwhelming condition more bearable, taking his time to ensure the patient feels heard, answering all questions, and making the patient feel like a partner in their care.
They called to cancel my appointment 3 hours before the actual appointment. Said the doctor had to leave the office this afternoon. Didn't even say it was emergency. I don't know whose to blame, the doctor or the scheduling people, but they could have called much earlier than 11am. If patients have to pay a penalty for canceling the day of then the doctor's office should pay patients the same fee. Duke is really going downhill.
I see Dr Scott Runyon for my injections. Has been the best Dr so far. Have been his patient I believe for 9 years. His Nurses have been top shelf. Amanda is Awesome. PA Jude Carr and his Nurse Pat are the best in his field also. Could not ask for a better team.
My visit was great. Dr. Pietak shows his knowledge and experience with patient care. The visit was a little long in the waiting room, but the care that is given makes up for that anytime. Parking can sometimes be a hassle.
