“Nhina is incredible. She is in her 70’s (owner operator) and she’s sharper than the clippers she uses. She has literally been cutting hair longer than I’ve been alive. I asked if I could come in today right before closing and she made it happen. I saw other photos of corvettes at her shop and I knew… if OCD corvette owners trust this lady so do I. “Glimmer in Kitty Hawk was the perfect place to get ready for our wedding day! The salon itself was absolutely adorable and had the perfect lighting for taking all of our getting-ready photos. The entire team was also incredibly easy to work with, which I especially appreciated as someone planning a wedding from out of state.

Grace did my hair, as well as most of my bridesmaids’ hair, and she did a phenomenal job! She listened carefully to exactly what I wanted and was incredibly meticulous about making sure everything was just right. I really appreciated how she asked thoughtful questions to make sure she fully understood my vision before getting started. My hair looked absolutely beautiful and stayed in place the entire night—which is truly impressive considering how much dancing I did!

Catie did our makeup, and it was absolutely PERFECT! She listened to what each of us wanted, offered helpful suggestions, and went above and beyond to help us achieve our dream looks. I genuinely wish I could look like that every day! Everyone was so complimentary of how beautiful our makeup looked while still allowing us to look like ourselves. Catie did an amazing job making us feel glamorous without making us look overly made up or unnatural.

Both Grace and Catie were incredibly talented, professional, and wonderful to work with. They helped make getting ready on our wedding day such a fun and memorable part of the experience. I would highly recommend Glimmer to any bride or bridal party getting married in the Outer Banks!“
