“I had an outstanding experience with Fernwood WNC in Morganton, North Carolina. They took on a very challenging flooring project in my home, built in 1969, and the final result exceeded expectations.

The original part of the house had older variable-width red oak floors with large gaps between boards. Fernwood carefully refinished those floors, filled the gaps, restained them, and installed beautiful flush wood floor vents that look original to the home.

In another room, they tore out mismatched flooring and installed new 5-inch red oak hardwood. In the kitchen, they removed old cork flooring that sat lower than the surrounding floors and replaced it with full 3/4-inch thick 5-inch red oak hardwood.

What impressed me most was their ability to make everything blend seamlessly. My house started with three completely different flooring situations: old red oak with gaps, Brazilian cherry in another room, and lower cork flooring in the kitchen. Fernwood WNC transformed all of it into one cohesive, natural-looking hardwood floor throughout the home. You would never know it had once been pieced together from different materials and heights.
