“I moved to the area six weeks ago and was looking for a good massage therapist. I went to the Spa at Mills River because it is close by and had great Google reviews. A few weeks ago, Ashley gave me an incredible massage, and I rebooked with her for every two weeks. She did not speak to me during the massage, which made it incredibly relaxing; however, she was very pleasant before and after. Yesterday, I went back for a pedicure with Rachel and an eyebrow wax with Doña. Both were incredible as well. Rachel is so personable, and she gives you a great foot massage; she also did a fantastic job painting my toes. Doña gave me the best eyebrow wax of my life. She said she was a perfectionist, and she wasn't kidding. I also rebooked with both of them and have found my go-to salon in the area. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a new place to go!“

“Having moved around quite a bit, it’s been difficult to find a therapist (let alone TWO) that “get me”. Sandra has been a life saver for my lower back (L5-S1 disc degeneration). She always takes the time to listen to my concerns, is patient, respectful, and STRONG! She doesn’t hold back (unless asked to). Very targeted to my pain, she finds it and then branches out to find the source. I can’t say enough great things about her.

One day, my pain was nearly debilitating - she didn’t have any availability for days. Sandra was kind enough to refer me to her coworker, Christine… a very different therapist.. but equally fantastic; took the time to listen, kind, STRONG, and respectful.

As for facials, I have had better, but I won’t remove a star for that. Personally, my main goal is to relieve pain. Sandra and Christine ? thank you!“

“I recently attended a weekend long retreat at The Horse Shoe Farm and it was an incredible experience! The property is stunningly beautiful and the Turchin family and all their staff are so thoughtful and lovely people. Our retreat included a dance and song workshop in the Sanctuary, which is a stunning and peaceful space, as well as lunches in the Silo Farmhouse restaurant. The food was amazing! I highly recommend, and my husband and I plan to go back together this spring to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable time!“

“Wonderful gem of an Aveda Salon! Easy to find with ample parking. The first thing I noticed was how GREAT the salon smelled! The entire salon was neat and well stocked/organized. The salon has its own private room for each stylist which offers privacy and a more intimate experience. The salon is the cleanest salon I think I’ve ever been to!
I was greeted by Carrie with a smile and she was so friendly! We instantly cliqued and it felt like I had known her forever. She listened to my current critique of my hair and what I wanted different. She knocked the ball out of the park! The end result was exactly what I was looking for and I walked out of the salon happier with my hair than I had been in a long time!! “I booked a spa day for my husband's birthday and we had a great time. We did the couple's 30-min massage (which was the perfect introduction into relaxation time). After that we got snacks and drinks to enjoy while soaking in the hot tub. There was a cool plunge in there too, I didn't use it but he did and loved it. Next up was the sauna for a bit before getting dressed and chilling in the zero gravity loungers.“

“I completed the acne clinic with Aranka over the last 3 months, and it was well worth it! My skin was very clogged with deep acne and very textured. At the first appointment, we went through my current skin care products in detail, as well as diet/lifestyle things that could cause breakouts. At every facial, she did careful extractions and a chemical peel. Aranka made sure to ask how the peel felt to ensure it was not too intense. I have very sensitive skin, so I really appreciated her thoughtfulness!
In terms of cost, I think it is well worth the investment. You do have to purchase the skincare she recommends, Face Reality, but the price is comparable, if not cheaper, than other high-end skincare brands. I have come to love this brand! My skin has never felt smoother or more hydrated. Because you are getting facials much more regularly than normal, they are discounted from the original acne facial price.
