We live in a historic home and came to John and the team at H&M to build a new door in a period-appropriate style (Victorian) to replace a modern door the previous owner installed. John took great care to understand exactly what we wanted and made recommendations as needed to ensure the door met our requirements. We could not be happier with the door they delivered. The materials, build quality, and attention to every detail exceeded our already-high expectations. We live walking up to our house with the new door and cannot recommend H&M highly enough.

We had such a great time working with the folks at HM woodworks to get completely custom new cabinetry and storage installed at our new Essential Health Raleigh office. They knocked it out of the park with quality and attention to every detail, including helping us choose appropriate drawer rails, hidden mechanism door latches, and making aesthetic workarounds for odd spaces. The team was super hardworking, highly responsive & knowledgeable, and extremely easy to chat with throughout the whole process. They really listened to what we wanted and made it happen with top-notch quality. We’re beyond happy with how it all turned out and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for great cabinets and a smooth experience, whether a small home project or large commercial custom work like ours!

H&M does beautiful, durable work that will last a lifetime. Every time we enter or leave our home, we get the pleasure of seeing—and hearing—their craftsmanship. The hardwood door they built feels as solid as steel and clicks satisfyingly tight when pulled closed.Further, the customer service John delivered was just as noteworthy as the quality of the door. He always arrived on schedule and personally communicated throughout the building process; sending pictures of each stage without being asked to do so. John stayed at it until the final screw was turned and we had the door we’ve wanted forever. It will adorn our house as long as we live here and beyond.I highly recommend H & M and look forward to working with them again.

I recently contacted John Daniels at H& M Woodworks regarding a restoration project involving a small 18th Century North Carolina house. I needed some period appropriate window sash and an exterior door. John and his fine team of artisans built for me just what I needed, and I could not be more pleased. His company is very professional, courteous, honest, and produce work of the highest caliber.
