I just got a really good haircut, beard trim, precise shave, and the hot towel treatment all for $30. Sometimes. You can tell when the barber doesn't know what they're doing. They're doing just because it doesn't feel right on your head and hair while they're at work, but that was definitely not the case here today. Veronica knows what she's doing. You can feel it and thankfully you can see it afterwards. Tvs, pool table, classic video game, ATM, and comfortable chairs to boot. I saw where some people had some bad experiences here 5 to 7 years ago, but I would note all of those barbers are long gone.
Sometimes you can tell you're not getting a good haircut just from the feel of things like where they're "chewing" your hair with dull scissors or just not a confidence-giving touch, but I had a good experience here with Veronica. I got good haircut, precise beard trim, hot towels and shave for $30. I've paid more for less out of state and had to take my hair for repair afterwards a time or two. This was good work. Place is clean. Has comfortable chairs to wait in, pool table, TVs, classic video, ATM, and drink cooler with soft drinks for purchase (and if you're hungry, Arbys is next door) I noted a number of people reported BAD experiences here (though there were all at least five years ago), and brought it up with owner Veronica, who said all of the barbers of that time were long -gone, though the shop was still coping with the reviews. I had a good experience here in August 2025, and believe you will too.
Derrick has been my GrandPrince preferred barber since his first hair cut 7 years ago. Always tight, lines are clean and no nips. He tells him the style and has never failed to meet his request. He has an inviting personality and takes time with his clients. That was my first time having the honor of taking him. The Lady Barber was showing cut, color and style skills. Pleasant and friendly. The other barber had one in the seat and he was cutting and keeping the typical barbershop atmosphere flowing.
Sometimes we need to support businesses from our personal visits not base it off of the 1 or 2 stars. There are places here, I've never returned to because I self-exepirenced...read full review
